Trek to The Ahuac or Aguak lagoon, a natural reservoir of freshwater located within the Huascarán National Park, in the Cordillera Blanca on the east side of the Callejón de Huaylas, within the province of Huaraz in Áncash, Peru. This lagoon has clean and crystalline waters similar to a mirror of blue reflection. Enjoy the spectacular view over the town of Huaraz with only a 4-hour walk to get there. Enjoy the view over the Cordillera Blanca, Cajellón de Huaylas and the Cordillera Negra.

Hiking To Laguna Ahuac expand_more
- Take a vehicle to the small village and archaeological site of Willcahuain from where you start your hike.
Follow a marked trail to the hill of San Cristobal and after, towards Laguna.
During the hike, admire beautiful mountains surrounding you, morenas formed by the glacier and snow-capped peaks of Vallunaraju, Churup, Huamashraju, Cashan and stunning view over Huaraz.
After return, visit the Museo de Sitio Wari, the museum and archaeological site of the Wari culture.
