  • Day 1: Canoe Ride in Iquitos expand_more
    • Be escorted from your hotel or airport to reach the Jungle Lodge (located three hours from Iquitos). 

    • First, head by land transport and embark on a boat ride to the lodge directly.

    • Before arriving at the lodge, stop at the confluence of the three most important rivers in Peru: Amazon River, Maranon and Ucayali River. Here you can see the pink dolphins, which are mainly in the Amazon River. 

    • Arrive at the lodge around 12:00 and lunch at the lodge.

    • Enjoy a Canoe ride along with the river and around the lakes to familiarize yourself with the jungle. 

    • Be on the lookout for birds, monkeys, sloths and other wildlife species. 

    • Enjoy the sunset in the jungle from your boat.

    • Head out for a thrilling night walk in the jungle in search of insects, tarantulas, scorpions, anacondas, snakes, frogs and giant reptile.

  • Day 2: Boat Ride on Amazon River expand_more
    • In the morning, walk through the jungle with a local guide (bilingual) and learn about the ecosystems of the rainforest, wildlife and medicinal plants. 

    • Learn about medicinal plants which locals used to nurse the disease, including aphrodisiacs and traditional healing power drinks made from tree bark and roots.

    • After lunch and a moment of relaxation, see and swim in the Amazon river with the dolphins.

    • Leave by boat to the Amazon River, where you can swim. The pink dolphins might likely be close to you.

    • Discover alligators by canoe at night: there are 3 different types of alligators in the Peruvian jungle. The bigger the black alligator grows to 8 meters, your guide will take you to places and lakes to find these wild animals.

    • See boas and nocturnal birds.

  • Day 3: Amazonian Forests Expedition expand_more
    • After breakfast at the lodge, leave the hostel for a visit to the premises to meet the local people to exchange some crafts.

    • Grab the opportunity to learn and observe their way of life on the banks of the Amazon River. Appreciate their homes, types of construction, schools, churches and interact with people. Learn about their techniques of agriculture and fisheries. Observe their customs and traditions, understanding and their austere natural style of life. People in the jungle are very cheerful and welcoming. Respect indigenous cultures of Amazonian forests, respect animals, plants, rivers and lakes, because this is their home.

    • Optional dinner at the lodge and activities, night hike or night fishing.

    • Here you have the opportunity to meet Pablito, a cute sloth. 

    • Lunch at the Lodge before dusk, we will take a short boat ride to a lake Where we can appreciate the majestic Victoria Regia, the queen of the waterlilies. 

    • See the indigenous white flowers. These stunning lakes and swamps plant can grow up to 2 m in diameter and are known for their huge round leaf which is a symbol of strength. 

  • Day 4: Bird Watching & Fishing expand_more
    • Get up early at 5:30 a.m. to get a chance to see new species of birds as all of them gather in search of food.

    • Breakfast at 8:00 a.m. at the hostel.

    • Proceed for boating and fishing for piranha, prepared by artisanal fishing. 

    • Learn to fish for piranha in the dark river's tributaries of the Amazon.

    • If you succeed, you can have them for lunch. 

    • Leave the lodge to return to Iquitos. 

    • Prepare for your departure. End of the tour.
