Day 1: Arrival at Iquitos expand_more
Meet the Iquitos tour guide after pick-up from the hotel or the airport and depart to reach the jungle lodge (located three hours from Iquitos).
First, head by land transport and then embark on a boat that will directly take you to the lodge.
Prior to arriving at the lodge, stop at the three rivers in Peru: Amazon River, Maranon and Ucayali River. Get to spot the pink dolphins mainly in the Amazon river.
Arrive at the lodge during lunchtime.
Later, start canoeing along the river and the lakes and familiarize yourself with the jungle area which is the shelter to birds, monkeys, sloths and other wildlife.
Enjoy a sunset in the jungle from a boat.
Head for a thrilling night walk in the jungle in search of insects, tarantulas, scorpions, anacondas, snakes, frogs and other giant reptiles.

Day 2: Amazon River expand_more
Take a walk for 3-4 hours through the jungle with the local bilingual guide who will explain the ecosystem of the rainforest, wildlife and medicinal plants.
Learn about the medicinal plants which locals use to cure diseases like aphrodisiacs and traditional healing power drinks made from tree bark and roots.
After having lunch and relaxing for a while, see and swim with the dolphins in the amazon river. You will leave on a boat to the Amazon river, where you will swim in the freshwater, and the pink dolphins will likely be close to you.
At night, start canoeing to spot alligators. There are three different types of alligators in the Peruvian jungle, and the black alligator grows up to 8 meters. You will also have an opportunity to see boas and nocturnal birds.

Day 3: Return to Iquitos expand_more
Head for an early bird watching at 05:30 am and get a chance to spot new species of birds that you might not have seen. The views are lovely as the birds gather for food.
Have your breakfast at the hotel at 08:00 am.
Head out on a boat and fish for piranha; you will be prepared for artisanal fishing. You will learn to fish for piranha in the tributaries of the dark river of the Amazon. If you succeed, you may feast on the fearsome piranha.
Check out of the Lodge to return to Iquitos.
Arrive at Iquitos airport if you have a flight or stay at a hotel overnight.

Know before you go
The lodge is located 150 km from Iquitos to Nauta City, approximately 3 hours, first by Car and then by boat on the banks of the Cumaceba stream in an area rich in fauna and flora, excellent for practising ecotourism and sportfishing. The tranquillity and silence of the lodge are broken only by the songs of the birds existing in the area. Surrounded by Aguaje Palm Trees (Mauritania flexuosa), exotic fruit and very popular in the culture and sold in primary markets in Iquitos city.
At the lodge, they develop Ecotourism activities such as trekking, camping in the forest, piranha fishing, caiman spotting, canoeing (paddling) through the flooded forest and igapos of the region, birds and dolphin watching, and visits to local families (riverside people-Libertad Community).
