Day 1: Cusco- Cachora- Coca Masana- Chikisa Camp expand_more
Meet at Cusco, then leave for the four-hour drive to Cachora at 6:00 am.
Halt for breakfast midway and admire the wonderful Limatambo Canyon and the great Apu –Salkantay and Humantay Mountains.
Continue to the village of Cachora. Meet with the arrieros, our expedition support crew. Then begin the three-hour hike through this historically rich territory.
Trek to Capuliyoc and view the Apurimac valley from above. You can also spot the snow-capped peaks of Padrayoc and Wayna Cachora.
Travel to Coca Masana and spot the different flora and fauna of the region.
Arrive at Playa Rosalina, a camp next to the Apurimac river with a pleasant landscape and bonfires in each place, famous for rafting rapids.
Overnight stay at the camp.

Day 2: Playa Rosalina- Choquequirao expand_more
Have an early breakfast, then travel to Apurimac River where you have to cross a typical holding bridge to visit the forest of cactus, agaves, and exotic local fruit trees.
Trek to the archaeological complex of Choquequirao, an Incan site in southern Peru, similar in structure and architecture to Machu Picchu.
Then move to the Inca complex to visit the farming terraces of Paqchayoc and the house of the waterfall, a perch on the edge of a cliff overlooking a ribbon waterfall, and other sightseeing spots. Here you can also try local dishes like the “Cambric”, a local cognac made from sugar cane.
Overnight camping in Choquequirao.

Day 3: Choquequirao Archaeological Complex- Raqaypata expand_more
Explore the incredible ruins of Choquequira, the "lost city" of Peru.
Visit the twelve different sectors of the complex including the main square, temple Hurin, and the vegetation sectors.
- Overnight camp stay in Raqaypata.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4: Raqaypata – Coca Masana or Capulichayuc expand_more
Have breakfast, then begin your trek back towards the Apurimac River.
Halt for lunch then continue to trek to the final campsite at Coca Masana.

Trek to the Cachora village and then take a bus back to Cusco from here.
Halt at the archaeological site of Sayhuite to have lunch and sightsee.
Reach Cusco and then depart.
