  • About 700 foreign visitors climb the 6,654 m Mera Peak each year, an achievement which requires mountaineering skills and a special permit from the Nepal Mountaineering Association.

  • Mera peak was an almost overlooked mountain to the east of the main Khumbu trekking trails. It is situated in the Everest region in a remote valley. It is suitable for anyone of average or above-average fitness wishing to fulfil the dream of a high Himalayan summit or those with a yearning for adventure.

  • Follow the original Everest expedition route at the trail-head from Lukla, cross spectacular gorges and visit the Peak before entering Sherpa regions of Solu Khumbu, Hinku Valley's wilderness. This is a fascinating trek in itself.
