Drive from Tulum to explore coastal ecosystems at the biodiverse Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Take a Laguna boat tour to reach Boca Paila through lagoons and mangrove forests. Search for birds and aquatic animals in the turquoise clear waters of Ascension Bay. Go reef snorkelling and spot dolphins and sea turtles. Relax at pristine white beaches and swim at the 'nature's swimming pool' along with an appetising Caribbean lunch at Punta Allen.

    • You will be picked up between 7:00 am – 8:00 am. Drive towards the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site, occupying special status inside the 'Man and the Biosphere' project. It is one of the most important coastal nesting grounds in the Caribbean.
    • As you enter the reserve, drive for about  40 minutes among the coastal jungle until you reach the boat dock.
    • Board a Laguna boat tour as the local fishermen guide you through the mangrove forests and freshwater springs. Travelling South of the water, you will reach the famous Boca Paila, an open cenote where the wetlands meet the sea with white sand beaches and clear waters. Nature lovers will enjoy vegetation and searching for crocodiles, manatees and the great variety of birdlife that live or migrate to the area. Lookout for manatees and crocodiles during the ride.
    • You can visit cays with colonies of incredible birds, spot local dolphins and different sea turtles species and more inhabiting the Ascension Bay. 
    • If the waters are calm, you can go for reef snorkelling (depending on the weather conditions) in a section of the barrier reef system. Observe the marine wildlife in this area that is home to thousands of aquatic species. 
    • Before ending the boat tour, you can enjoy bathing and swimming in the clearest tropical water at 'Nature's swimming pool', as called by the locals to relax.
    • Have a delicious Caribbean lunch in Punta Allen, located at the tip of the headland overlooking the bay. Relax for sometime after an action-packed day. 
    • Return to Tulum between 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
