Description

Visit Amarapura, a township of Mandalay city, bounded by the Irrawaddy river in the west, Chanmyathazi Township in the north, and Ava's ancient capital site in the south. Continue to Sagaing, the former capital of the Sagaing Region of Myanmar, located on the banks of the Irrawaddy River. Visit Kaungmudaw Pagod, Bagaya Wooden Monastery and Yadanarsemi Pagoda. Explore Inn Wa, an ancient city near Mandalay, known for its religious structures leftover from several reigns on this 8-hour tour.

    • Pick up from your desired location and travel to Amarapura, a former royal capital city of Mandalay.

    • Visit the Pahtodawgyi Pagoda, built in 1820 by King Bagyidaw.

    • Attend a traditional Myanmar silk and cotton weaving workshop.

    • Continue to Mahagandagon Monastery, where over 1000 monks take procession for their lunch.

    • Drive to Sagaing city and visit Kaungmudaw Pagoda, an enormous dome-shaped stupa.

    • Head to U Min Thone Ze Pagoda and discover 45 crescented shaped Buddha images inside the cave and Soon U Pon Nya Shin Pagoda at the cave's summit.

    • Visit Bagaya Wooden Monastery, Yadanarsemi Pagoda, Watch Tower and Maha Aung Myae Bon Zan Brick Monastery.

    • Return to Amarapura and enjoy the sunset at the famous U Bein Wooden Bridge.
