Start the boat ride at 8 am at the port facing City Park. You will be sent the Google Map Location.
Take the stairs to the Shein Makkar Monastery, and explore the area.
Get back to the boat and have lunch. Then the boat will start cruising back again and stop at Mingun Port.
Explore Mingun, where the world's biggest ringing bell exists, including other massive, unique and beautiful old pagodas.
Return to the boat and enjoy snacks and coffee.
Witness the sunset over the Ayawaddy River; you can chill and relax on the boat watching it.

Know before you go
Shane Makar is near a village where dolphin sightings are frequent, but there is no guarantee that you will see the dolphins when you get there as they are moving all the time.
Please check availability at least 2 days in prior and some advance fee will be collected 1 day prior at your place as the guides need to prepare food and any cancellations are very costly for us.
You can choose Chinese Cuisine or Myanmar Traditional Cuisine for Lunch. The cook is known for its amazing taste.
Children must be supervised by adults.
The dress code is formal (cover your knees and shoulders) when you enter the monastery or Mingun but when you are on the boat, you can wear anything.
You can fish or swim in the river at your own risk. If you are not familiar with the local waters, it is not recommended.
For the food, let it be known what you are allergic to in prior.
The boat is two storeys. There are a toilet and a simple and small cabin room where you can lie down and stretch out.
Shein Makar Monastery is over 100 years old, founded by King Mindon. It is located in the Shein Makar Sanctuary, a dense forest on the riverside. You can explore the old and ruined pieces of the buildings. The monastery provides free education for poor kids too so you can see little monks playing around and learning in the classes.
