- Upon your arrival, both the guide and driver will meet you at the port.
- You will depart for Amber Mountain, located in the southern part of Diego City, three kilometres from the town of Joffre. Amber Mountain is the first national park in Madagascar, renowned for supplying water to both the city of Diego and its surroundings.
- This magical humid forest is a haven for botanists, with over 110 species of plants to be discovered on the Trail of a Thousand Trees. During your walk, you'll be captivated by the Antakarana waterfalls, as well as sightings of lemurs, mongooses, leaf-tailed geckos (the king of camouflage), the Amber Mountain rock-thrush (an endemic bird), and the sacred waterfalls where animists worship the spirits. Walking on flat land under the canopy allows for breathtaking views. The visit will last around two hours.
- After exploring, you will return to the port, with the possibility of buying souvenirs in Diego's main city before reaching the port.
- You are advised to wear long pants, apply bug spray, bring a rain jacket, wear walking shoes or sneakers, and a hat to stay dry during the visit.
- On the return to Diego, there will be a stop at the Sugar Loaf, followed by shopping in the city center.
- After shopping, you will head back to the ship.
