Drive south from Marrakech and explore its many incredible sites, including the Berber villages, old Kasbahs, Gorges valleys, Canyon and Palm Groves. Learn about Moroccan culture, local life experiences, the Atlas Mountains formation and the history of the desert of Merzouga. Also, interact with the Berber people in the Sahara desert and admire its amazing sandy dunes on this 6-day tour.

  • Day 1: Marrakech- Rose Valley expand_more
    • Depart Marrakech at 8:00 am and start the tour to Dades Gorges. 
    • Cross the High Atlas Mountains to reach Tizi-n-Tichkawhich, one of Morocco's highest road passes (2260m). Here you will have the opportunity to take some perfect photos of this breathtaking view. 
    • Visit the Ait Ben Haddou village- kasbah, recognized by UNESCO as a world patrimony. Many movies were filmed in this village, such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Queen of the desert, Kingdom of Heaven, Game of Thrones, the Mummy, etc. 
    • Continue to visit the Valley of the Roses (KelaaM'Gounawhich is known as Festival of roses), the center of Moroccan roses and rose products. Persian roses are grown and harvested here to create rose water, creams and soaps prized throughout Morocco and the world. 
    • As soon as you get to your accommodation, you will be led through tiny family farm plots where you will see the locals picking figs for dinner and wandered along the stream.

  • Day 2: Rose Valley- Erg Chebbi expand_more
    • Have breakfast, then drive through the oasis of Skoura. Then, have the opportunity to explore the Kasbah of Amridil.
    • Travel through the Valley of roses to KalaaM’gouna, where you may (if wanted) visit a rosewater cooperative and learn how locals manufacture rosewater perfume essences. 
    • Continue to the nearby Dades Gorge, where you will be immersed in the valley's natural beauty. Enjoy seeing the amazing Rock formation called “the monkey Toes” and the still-standing 19th century Kasbah of Kasbah AitYul. 
    • Before heading towards the dunes of Merzouga, check out the Todgha gorge. 
    • Stop at Rissani before you complete the final stretch of your journey to the magical Sahara dunes, where camels will be awaiting you. You will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before riding on a camel towards your desert camps.

  • Day 3: Erg Chebbi- Merzouga- Fes expand_more
    • Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, possibly the best moment of the Merzouga desert tour. 
    • Make your way to Fes after breakfast through the ziz valley and the cedar forest of Azrou. 
    • See a colony of monkeys along the road, which will amuse you. Have plenty of opportunities to stretch your legs as you will stop for coffee, lunch, photographs. 
    • Reach the Switzerland of Morocco: Ifrane city. 
    • Drop off at your Riad / Hotel at around 6 PM in Fes.
  • Day 4: Fes City expand_more
    • Have breakfast, meet with the local guide and travel to Old Madina, one of the worlds largest walled cities. 
    • Explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects of Morocco. 
    • Visit the King’s Palace, the tanneries, and the potters. 
    • Enjoy your evening exploring the medina and the hustle-bustle of the street stalls. 
    • Next, the tour will take you into Bab Boujloud (the Blue Gate), where you will discover the ancient streets and neighbourhoods, as well as Al-Qarawaiyin University. Founded in 864 AD and still in operation today, it holds the Guinness World Record for being the oldest continually operated university globally. 
    • After exploring all that the Medina has to offer, we will drive to get a high up panoramic view of the old city before returning to your riad/ hotel in the evening.
  • Day 5: Fes- Volubilis- Chefchaouen expand_more
    • Have breakfast, then leave Fes and head to the blue city of Chefchaoun via Volubilis. 
    • Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site in North Africa and see the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the well-preserved mosaics.
    • Arrive in Chefchaouen and explore the medina's white and blue washed walls and the markets that offer unique native handicrafts. Chefchaouen is a fantastic destination for photography with its wonderful views of the Rif Mountains.

  • Day 6: Chefchaouen- Casablanca expand_more
    • Have breakfast at the hotel, then explore the blue city of Chefchaouen, known for its traditional buildings.
    • Visit Hassan II Mosque and the Old Medina.
    • Transfer to the airport or your hotel in Casablanca.
