    • Upon arrival at the airport, get welcomed and meet the Sri Lankan representative/tour guide.

    • Transfer to Negombo.

    • Check in to the hotel and rest.

  • Day 2: Negombo - Pinnawala - Sigiriya expand_more
    • After breakfast, transfer to Sigiriya. 

    • En route, drop in at Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, set in a stunning riverside location; this is home to about 70 Elephants- the largest group of orphaned Elephants in the world! Most have been found injured or abandoned in the wild. Baby calves, some only a few weeks old, are fed by bottle and the whole herd is then bathed in the adjoining river.

    • In the afternoon, climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. The 5th Century Sigiriya Rock Fortress is a world heritage site consisting of a palace once built upon a rock. At mid-level, the terrace includes the Lion Gate and the Mirror Wall with its frescoes of the 'Heavenly Maidens', the lower palace slopes below the rock with walls and water gardens extending over hundreds of meters.

  • Day 3: Sigiriya - Matale - Kandy expand_more
    • After breakfast, transfer to Kandy.

    • On the way, visit Dambulla Cave Temple. An extremely ancient series of 5 cave temples containing thousands of Buddhist images and paintings date 2000 years. Five caves under a vast overhanging rock, carved with a drip line to keep the interiors dry. Inside the caves, the ceilings are painted with intricate patterns of religious images following the contours of the rock. There are images of the Lord Buddha.

    • Check out the Spice Garden at Matale and see the luscious cinnamon, cardamom, pepper plant etc. You can also purchase your requirement of spices.

    • Upon arrival to Kandy, do a city tour of Kandy, including Upper Lake Drive, Market Square, Arts & Crafts Centre, and the Sacred Tooth Relic.

    • Afterwards, visit a Batik Factory where you can see the manufacture of beautiful Batik prints. The shop contains a wide variety of Batik items.

    • Gaze upon the temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Ever since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha’s Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orissan princess’ hair, the Relic has grown in repute and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world. It is considered Sri Lanka’s most prized possession.

    • In the evening, witness a cultural show.

    Overnight in Kandy hotel

  • Day 4: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya expand_more
    • After breakfast, visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden. Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens & The Orchid House, one of the finest botanical gardens in the east, including an Orchid House with 300 varieties. Lord Mountbatten’s South East Asia Command Headquarters was located here during World War 2.

    • Afterwards, leave for Nuwara Eliya.

    • Visit a tea estate and factory en route.

  • Day 5: Nuwara Eliya - Bentota expand_more
    • After breakfast, transfer to a beach hotel. 

    • On the way, observe beautiful waterfalls.

    • Arrive at your beach hotel at Bentota. Sri Lanka’s most famous beach resort has a beautiful succession of gentle, curved bays backed by the large lagoon of the Bentota River. The finest beaches in Sri Lanka start from here and go southwards.

  • Day 6: Bentota - Airport expand_more
    • After breakfast, the day is free until checkout time.

    • The Sri Lankan driver will pick you up and drop you at the airport for your onward flight.

  • Kandy - the hill capital. The venue of the annual Perahera. The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was ceded to the British in 1815. Kandy is an example of Buddhism’s influence in Sri Lanka today. Temple’s shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are everywhere.

  • Nuwara Eliya - The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island but is like an England spring day, although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya, you will see evidence of British influence. Houses are like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions.
