Description

Sign up for this unique excursion to understand the general knowledge of Samurai and Samurai Kenbu. Choose your samurai costume, put it on and practice some aspects of the etiquette of samurai classes as well as practice basic kenbu, including how to use the Japanese sword. Enjoy a full-scale show performed by Kenbu Masters and experience how to use the folding fan, if you wish.

    • Come to the reception desk at the Samurai Kenbu Theater (Kyoto) at least 5 to 15 minutes before the start time to register.
    • Begin your 90 minutes lesson. 
    • Then, take a 15-minute break.
    • Afterwards, see a 30-minute show performed by Kenbu Masters.

    Note:- The available slots are :- 09:30 am - 11:45 am and 02:30 pm - 04:45 pm.

Know before you go
  • Authentic instruction by Kenbu Master.
  • Please wear comfortable clothes on the day of the event.
  • Long tights are not recommended as you will be required to change into tabi socks.
  • The Instructor will lesson in English.
  • There are also days when the event cannot be held.
  • Available for all age groups.
  • The activities are for 2 hours and the extra 15 minutes are for travel and registration.
