• Teachers of the European Community, with a professional identification document, need NO ID card.

• EU citizens between 18 and 25 years old need valid identification.

• Free Tickets:
  • Children under 18 of any nationality, with valid identification. Minors under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Teachers and students of the degree programs, graduate or post-graduate training and doctoral research of the following faculties: architecture, cultural heritage, educational sciences or humanities in archaeological or historical-artistic. The same facilities shall be permitted to teachers and students of faculties or corresponding courses, established in the European Union. Free entry is allowed for students by showing the certificate of enrollment for the current academic year, faculty, and a valid document.
  • Teachers and students enrolled in the academies of fine arts or to corresponding EU institutions, by showing the certificate of registration for the current academic year.
  • European Union Journalists in compliance with the payment of dues for the current year, by showing a valid document.
  • The groups of students of the Italian state and private schools and other states belonging to the European Union, accompanied by their teachers, by reservation, (reservation for schools in the EU is free and compulsory, to be made only by telephone to the call centre of Florence Museums, available Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 18:30 and Saturdays from 8:30 to 12:30
  • The tourist interpreters when necessary to their work alongside the guide (present a valid license issued by the competent authority. The staff of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and Tourism are members of ICOM (International Council of Museums).
  • For reasons of study and research, certified by schools or universities, academies, research institutes and Italian and foreign culture, by organs of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, the heads of the institutes may allow individuals who request them free entry for certain periods.
  • Accessibility: Any disabled person is entitled to free priority access law in all the Florentine State Museums for themselves and a companion if this is expressed in the certificate of disability. It will, therefore, be sufficient to go to the museum you want to visit and the staff receptionist will give you any assistance you will need. Is also possible to rent a wheelchair for free, with a valid ID certificate.
