  • Day 1: Arrival at Jaipur expand_more
    • Arrive at Jaipur airport or railway station.

    • Upon arrival, you will meet a local representative and get a transfer to the hotel.

    • Visit City Palace, a formal residence of the royal family, built in a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. In the museum of City Palace, visit the private collection of the Jaipur Maharajas.

    • Continue to Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory, the largest of Jai Singh's five remarkable observatories. Its complex instruments reveal the secrets of medieval Indian astronomy.

  • Day 2: Jaipur Sightseeing expand_more
    • After having breakfast, drive to Amber, about 11 km from Jaipur. Amber was the ancient capital of the Kachhawaha dynasty for 6 centuries before it was moved to the newly created Jaipur.

    • En-route to Amber, visit the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), built in 1799 AD. It contains 953 small casements, with each having its balcony. The windows enabled cool air to circulate and the ladies to watch processions below without being seen.

    • In the afternoon, take a walk through the colourful bazaar of Jaipur and visit a factory to see the famous block printing work being done for centuries in Jaipur.

    • In the evening, drive through the new city of Jaipur and visit “Laxmi Narayan Mandir”, a Hindu temple made out of white marble. You might get an opportunity here to observe a prayer ceremony.

    • Enjoy dinner with a presentation of Indian music and dance.

  • Day 3: Jaipur to Pushkar expand_more
    • After breakfast, drive to Pushkar, an ancient religious town. Pushkar is one of the most religious places for Hindus.

    • Visit the only temple of God Brahma here, thus making Pushkar an important pilgrimage city for Hindus. 

    • Discover why Pushkar has become famous in the world. If you are travelling in November, see the whole of Pushkar transformed into a spectacular fair ground where thousands of pilgrims come to bathe in the holy water of Pushkar lake and the biggest cattle and camel markets take place here.

    • After a small break, visit Pushkar Lake near the Brahma Temple. 

  • Day 4: Pushkar to Jodhpur expand_more
    • Leave the holy city of Pushkar and drive to Jodhpur. Earlier, Jodhpur was the capital of the princely state of Marwar (Land of Death). Jodhpur is the second-largest city in Rajasthan and also known as the blue city.

    • Witness most of the houses of the old city painted blue. The ancient city is surrounded by a massive 10 km long wall with 101 bastions and seven gates.

    • Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, built on a steep hill and is among the best in India with exquisitely latticed windows in residential apartments.

    • Visit the Jaswant Thada, a royal cenotaph built in white marble.

    • After the sightseeing, walk through the bazaars (local markets) of Jodhpur.

  • Day 5: Jodhpur to Udaipur en-route Ranakpur expand_more
    • After breakfast, drive to Udaipur.

    • Enroute, visit Ranakpur, known for its superbly carved marble Jain Temples built during the 15th century. There are four subsidiary shrines and twenty-four pillared halls. The total number of columns is 1444, all of which are intricately carved, no two being alike. 

    • Take a break in Ranakpur before proceeding further for Udaipur.

    • Reach Udaipur, the romantic city of Rajasthan, built around shimmering, clear, blue water lakes which reflect the green hills of the Aravali ranges.

  • Day 6: Udaipur Sightseeing expand_more
    • Today, proceed for full-day sightseeing of Udaipur city. 

    • Visit the Sahelian-Ki-Bari: known as the Garden of the Maids, which is well laid out with extensive lawns and shady walks.

    • Visit the Folk Art Museum:  a rich collection of folk dresses, ornaments, puppets, masks, dolls, folk musical instruments and paintings on display.

    • After a break, visit the City Palace: the biggest Palace in India, where four generations of Maharajas added their contribution. It is so carefully planned and integrated with the original buildings that it is difficult to believe that it was not conceived as a whole.

    • Explore the palace's museum that includes the beautiful peacock mosaic and miniature wall paintings of Indian mythology.

    • Have an opportunity to visit a traditional painting school and see the famous miniature paintings done.

    • Take a boat ride on Lake Pichola. The famous Lake Palace of Udaipur was the summer residence of the former rulers. The James bond Film Octopussy was shot here and made this palace more known in the west.

  • Day 7: Udaipur Departure expand_more

    After breakfast, drive to the Udaipur airport or railway station. Your tour comes to an end here.
