  • Day 01: Arrival and Sightseeing In Delhi expand_more

You will be met at the airport by an Enchanting India Travels representative, transferred to the hotel and assisted with check-in formalities.

Delhi, the capital of India, and its third largest city, is the first stop of your Delhi, Agra, Jaipur tour package. Delhi consists of two parts – New Delhi, the city created in 1911 as the imperial capital of India by the British and Old Delhi, the Muslim capital of India between the 17th and 19th centuries. In fact, there have been at least eight cities on the site of modern Delhi – the earliest known settlement, Indraprastha, featured in the epic Mahabharata over 3000 years ago. Though not always the capital, Delhi has always been an important city in the northern region of the subcontinent.

After a short rest at the hotel, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken for a guided city tour of Old & New Delhi. The tour includes visits to the following places of interest:

Jama Masjid: One of the largest mosques in India, it was built in 1650 and completed by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Made of red sandstone and marble, an open courtyard facing the eastern gateway of the mosque building is at least 325 feet (99 metres) square and can accommodate 25,000 people.

    Chandni Chowk (Moonlight Square)

Drive past Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Birla Mandir, India Gate, and Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s House).

  • Day 02: Delhi City Tour - Jaipur (Drive) expand_more

After breakfast at the hotel in Delhi, we will visit the Qutub Minar. The height of Qutub Minar is 72.5 meters, making it the tallest minaret in the world, built of bricks. The tower tapers, and has a 14.3 metres (47 feet) base diameter, reducing to 2.7 metres (9 feet) at the top of the peak. It contains a spiral staircase of 379 steps.

Iron Pillar: The pillar has attracted the attention of archaeologists and materials scientists because of its high resistance to corrosion and has been called a "testimony to the high level of skill achieved by the ancient Indian iron smiths in the extraction and processing of iron". Made of iron, it should have turned into a pile of rust a long time ago, considering its age – it is 1,600 years old – and exposure to Delhi's heat, dust, cold and rains.

After visiting Qutub Minar, the drive takes a twirl to Jaipur.

Jaipur: It is the capital of Rajasthan and is known as the “Pink City” because of the pink-tinted constructions in the old city. Recently, the walled city of Jaipur has joined the elite list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is situated on a dry lake bed, bordered by barren hills vanquished by forts and broken walls. The city was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II, who wanted to be in the good books of the then-ruling Mughals. He positioned the city with rectangular blocks according to early Hindu architecture. It is a great city for shopping.

  • Day 03: Jaipur City Tour expand_more

After breakfast, you will be picked up by the guide from the hotel and will be taken for a guided sightseeing tour of Jaipur and Amber. Sightseeing in Jaipur includes :

Amber Fort: The Amber Fort is located 11 km away from Jaipur. Amber was once the ancient capital of Jaipur. The Fort is an excellent illustration of Rajput architecture, impressively situated on a hillside facing a lake, which reflects its walkways and walls; from here, we will take an elephant to reach the top of the fort. Dinner in Jaipur.

Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds): Constructed by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799, the Hawa Mahal is one of Jaipur’s main landmarks; the front of the Mahal has pink windows and latticework screens. This mahal was initially constructed for the ladies of the imperial household to watch the ordinary life and parades of the city.

City Palace: The City Palace is still the dwelling of the former royalty H.H Bhawani Singh Ji of Jaipur. This Palace still has an extensive collection of art, carpets and old weapons.

Jantar Mantar (Observatory): It was built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1728. Jantar Mantar appears to be an inquisitive collection of sculptures, but in fact, each construction has a detailed purpose, such as measuring the positions of stars, altitudes and azimuths and calculating eclipses. The most striking instrument is the sundial, which is a 27-meter-tall gnomon. The shadow this casts moves up to 4 meters an hour.

  • Day 04: Jaipur – Abhaneri – Agra (Drive) expand_more

After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, you will do check-out formalities. You will then visit the Monkey Temple in Jaipur. Later, start your drive to Agra (30 minutes); stop enroute at Abhaneri for a guided tour of the ancient step well (Chand Baoli), which was built in the 8th century.

After the visit, continue your drive to Agra.

Upon arrival in Agra, we will first visit the workshop to see how much technology and tools have been used to build the seventh wonder of the world in India's hardest marble shop and then check in at the hotel.

  • Day 05: Agra – Delhi (Drive) expand_more

Early in the morning, we visit the Taj Mahal: Emperor Shah Jahan constructed the Taj Mahal in memory of his wife, Mumtaj Mahal, who died during the birth of their child in 1631. This white marble mausoleum is one of the most beautiful structures in the world and has been granted the title of one of the 'wonders of the world'. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is also known as the 'icon of eternal love'. Without a doubt, it is the most recognized and most visited landmark in India. The construction of this famous monument is said to have taken 22 years, starting from 1631. Over 20,000 artisans were working day and night for the construction of this landmark. Craftspersons and whizzes were brought from France and Italy, and the chief architect was from Iran. The visit to the Taj Mahal will long be remembered by you as the highlight of your Golden Triangle Tour. After visiting the Taj Mahal, we will come back to the hotel to have breakfast and then drive back to Delhi. After reaching the capital city, we visit the famous Akshardham Temple (Hindu Temple); we end the day with a farewell dinner at a luxury Restaurant in Delhi.
