Description

Take a short tour to Darjeeling and Gangtok for 5 days and 4 nights. Spend two nights in Darjeeling and two nights in Gangtok to get the best of both paradises.

  • Day 1 : Arrival - Gangtok expand_more
    • Arrive at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (IXB). Our representative will meet you and transfer you to Gangtok (4-5 hrs drive). The evening is free for your leisure.
  • Day 2 : Excursion to Changu Lake & New Baba Mandir expand_more
    • After breakfast, start for an excursion to Changu Lake (12,400 ft.) & New Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.), 55 km from Gangtok city. This serene lake is situated at an altitude of 12,000 ft on the Gangtok Nathu La highway.

    Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall)/local Shopping at Gangtok.

    Prior permission is required to visit Nathula Pass. Extra cost applies for an extended tour to Nathula.

  • Day 3 : Gangtok to Darjeeling Via Teesta and Lamahatta expand_more
    • 8:30 AM : Continue to the next destination –Darjeeling. On the way to Darjeeling enjoy river rafting. Reach the Teesta Rangeet viewpoint, Teesta Bazar, and Lamahatta Eco-Friendly Park. 

    Travel time is 4-5 hrs. 

    The evening is free for leisure activities.

  • Day 4 : Darjeeling Sightseeing expand_more
    • 4 AM-8 AM: Enjoy an early morning tour to Tiger Hills (at around 4 am) to admire the sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather). 
    • On your way back, visit Batasia Loop & Ghoom Monastery.
    • 7 Points: 9:30 AM-3:00 PM: After breakfast, set off on a city tour of Darjeeling. Visit the following sites: 
      • Padmaja Naidu Himalaya Zoological Park (Closed on Thursday)
      • Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday)
      • Tea Garden
      • Tenzing Rock
      • Ramakrishna Mission
      • Japanese Temple
      • Peace Pagoda

    The evening is free for other activities. 

    Overnight stay at Hotel.

  • Day 5 : Return expand_more
    • Return drive from Darjeeling to NJP or Bagdogra airport. The trip with a transfer from Darjeeling – NJP Rly Station / IXB Airport (100 km / 3-4 hrs drive).

  • Any increase in taxes or fuel price, leading to an increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure
Know before you go
  • Documents Required:
    • Govt Id Proof for all passengers. – Kindly carry original and Xerox as well.
    • Govt Id like voters card, Passport or any other Id recognized by Govt.
    • PAN card & Aadhar card not accepted as ID for getting a permit for the Changu Lake tour and North Sikkim Pass.
    • Documents required for all passengers travelling.
    • Passport size photograph: 4 passport size photographs for each passenger.
  • Documents will be collected on 1st day of arrival in Gangtok.
  • If in case you wish to extend the trip to Nathula then kindly notify us in advance and additional charges apply for the same.
  • Foreign nationals should get an Inner Line Permit before entering Sikkim. The passport copies and photographs should be sent via email at least 1 week prior to arrival for arranging a permit for Changu Lake. Inner Line permit can be arranged on the same day before entering Sikkim.
  • Any Indian guest holding a foreign passport and does not hold a PIO card or any Indian Govt ID proof then he/she will be treated as a foreign national and should get the Inner Line permit for their stay in Sikkim.
  • Changu Lake: The lake is oval in shape, 15 meters deep and is considered sacred by the local people. It is also the home to brahminy ducks. Its cool, placid water harmonizes with the scenic beauty around. This placid lake remains frozen during the winter months up to mid-May. Nathu La Pass to the Republic of China is nearly 20 kilometres further and is an optional tour.
