Description

Trek to the picturesque Senaru Crater Rim and camp overnight to enjoy the spectacular views of the 3 Gilis ,Mount Agung and the "smoking" Lake Segara Anak. Then trek to the peak of Mt Rinjani before your descent to the Senaru village.

    • Begin the trek at 1 AM midnight from Senaru Basecamp and walk in the open area full of coffee trees, bamboos and other foliage.

    • Reach the gate of the tropical rainforest and continue to trek through the jungle, where you will see several monkeys on the way. After walking approximately for 3 hours, you will reach Pos 2 Montong Satas (1,500m). Enjoy hot drinks, crackers and fresh fruits. Walk for almost 2 hours to reach Pos 3.

    • Next, continue towards Senaru Rim (2,641m). Pass through Mondokan Sokak. The trail eventually becomes quite steep but offers beautiful scenery of  Senaru village.

    • Take a break at Cemara Lima to have lunch. Go further to Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m) for about one hour.

    • Arrive at Senaru crater rim and set camp. Have dinner and overnight stay at camp.

    • In the morning, enjoy the spectacular view of the 3 Gilis and Mount Agung. View the sunrise from the valley of Mount Sanggka Rejang.

    • See the smoke that leaps up from the hole in the middle of Lake Segara Anak.

    • Ascend the peak of Rinjani mountain (3,726m). After breakfast, start to descend the Senaru village (4-5 hour trek).

    • Take a break for lunch at Pos 2 or Pos 3. Arrive at Senaru Rinjani Trekking Centre at around 12:30 PM.

    End of the tour.
