6:00 am. Meet your tour guide at your hotel or residence within Nairobi for a drive to the Nairobi National Park. The aim is to start early to witness the morning sunrise in the horizons and to capture the early hunting activities of predators. You shall be on the lookout for the big 4 of Africa that can possibly be spotted in this park; plenty of other herbivores can be spotted including zebras, giraffes, gazelles, hartebeest, warthog, hippos, etc. A variety of birdlife is also abundant in this park's grasslands, forest and cliffs. 

10:30 am. Arrive at the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage located on the southern edges of the Nairobi National park; this is an interesting elephant reintegration centre where rescued baby elephants are taken care of before being reintroduced back into their natural environment. A lecture on an individual orphan is presented by a resident guide as you watch them wallow and tackle each other in the mud. You will also see the feeding of formula milk to the young elephants by their handlers. This informative and interesting activity takes about 1 hour.

12:00 pm. Find a convenient place for your lunch. Nairobi has broad options for restaurants and fast food joints to choose from.

2:00 pm. Proceed on to the Giraffe Centre, a place set up by the African fund for endangered species to care for the rare Rothschild Giraffe; this is the only centre of its kind in Africa, where you will enjoy a closer view of these gentle giants as you watch them from a raised platform. The resident guide will offer a conservation lecture about the centre. You will also get a chance to shop at their gift shop which has souvenirs immortalised with giraffe images.

4:00 pm. Start your journey back to the hotel with options to visit the Kazuri beads and art craft for shopping and a demonstration of actual artwork.

5:00 pm. Back to the hotel after an amazing and interesting day of Nairobi excursion.
