Travel from Nairobi to explore the Maasai Mara National Reserve, an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya situated along the Tanzanian border, famous for its annual wildebeest migration. Spot the Big 5 animals, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Discover the Lakes Nakuru & Naivasha and envelope yourself with a rich ecosystem comprising wooded and bushy grasslands that support a wide ecological diversity of animals and water birds.

  • Day 1: Nairobi-Maasai Mara National Reserve expand_more

    • Pick up from the hotel in Nairobi and drive to Maasai Mara.

    • Pass through the Great African Rift Valley escarpment and the Masai town, Narok.

    • Check-in at Ashnil Mara camp or Sarova Mara game camp and have lunch. 

    • Enjoy an afternoon game drive through the park, searching for lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalos, and other Big Five members. 

    Dinner and overnight stay at Ashnil Mara camp or Sarova Mara game camp.

  • Day 2: Maasai Mara National Reserve Game Drive expand_more

    • Enjoy a full day game drive at the park.

    • Spot black-manned lions, savannah elephants, Cape buffalos, wildebeests, leopards, cheetahs, spotted & striped hyenas, rhinos, topis, Burchell's zebras, Maasai giraffes and other animals.

    Dinner and overnight stay at Ashnil Mara camp or Sarova Mara game camp.

  • Day 3: Lake Nakuru expand_more

    • Listen to a brief explanation by the representative of the tour at 7 am on the Lake Nakuru safari.

    • Stop at View Point for stunning scenery from an elevated position.

    • Continue travelling to Lake Nakuru Park.

    • Arrive at the park and look for rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, waterbucks, zebras, leopards, and more.

    • Have lunch during the warm midday at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

    • Enjoy the view of thousands of flamingos that paint the Lake’s shores gorgeously pink.

    Dinner and overnight stay at the safari lodge.

  • Day 4: Lake Naivasha expand_more

    • Drive to Kenya’s highest lake at 1880 m above sea level, Lake Naivasha. 

    • Explore the beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus with Hippos lazing in the lake and Buffalos grazing on the shores. 

    • Enjoy bird watching and look for Grey-capped Warbler, Spectacled Weaver, Brimstone Canary, Red-billed Firefinch and 350 other species.

    • Go on boat trips on the lake.

    • Walk through Crescent Island and look for wildebeests, zebras and giraffes.

    Dinner and overnight stay at the safari lodge.

  • Day 5: Hell’s Gate National Park-Nairobi expand_more

    • Pick up from the hotel and drive towards the Hell's Gate National Park.

    • See over 100 species of birds in the park, including vultures, Verreaux's Eagles, Augur Buzzard, and Swifts.

    • Look for African buffalos, zebras, elands, hartebeests, Thomson's Gazelles and baboons, Klipspringer antelopes and Chanler's Mountain reedbucks.

    • Enjoy a picnic lunch and drive to Nairobi.
