  • Day 1: Arrival and Panoramic Tour of Algiers expand_more
    • Arrival in Algiers. 
    • Reception at Algiers International Airport and transfer to the hotel. 
    • Then enjoy a panoramic tour of Algiers (depending on the arrival time). 

    Dinner at the restaurant. Night in Algiers.

  • Day 2: Exploration of Tipaza and Cherchell expand_more
    • Departure towards Tipaza. 
    • Visit the site of Mauritania's "Tomb of the Christian". 
    • Continue to Cherchell or Caesarea during the reign of Juba II. 
    • Explore the Archaeological Museum and the Mosaic Park. 
    • Stop for lunch. Head to Tipaza, a Roman site which became a city of art in the first century BC and the centre of Greco-Roman civilization in North Africa. Later, go to the archaeological museum. 

    Dinner and overnight in Algiers.

  • Day 3: Journey to Setif and Djemila expand_more
    • Departure for Setif to visit the Roman site of Djemila, meaning "the beautiful one" in Arabic. Tour the archaeological site founded during Emperor Nerva's reign (96-98 AD). Its exquisite Roman ruins are excellently preserved and were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981. Djemila, also known as "Cuicul," was built on uneven ground and is one of the most significant Roman cities of the late 2nd century. Lunch will be provided. 
    • Following this, enjoy a panoramic tour of Setif. Afterwards, check in at the hotel and enjoy some free time.

    Dinner and an overnight stay in Setif will conclude the day.

  • Day 4: Visit to Timgad and Batna expand_more
    • Depart for the city of Batna. After lunch, visit Timgad, also known as "Thamugadi" - one of the most renowned Roman cities in North Africa. Often referred to as the Pompeii of North Africa, Timgad is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The history of this Roman colony dates back to 100 A.D. when it was founded by Emperor Trajan. 

    End the day with dinner, followed by an overnight stay in Batna.

  • Day 5: Discover Souk Ahras and Guelma expand_more
    • Visit Souk Ahras, the birthplace of Saint Augustine (Aurelius Augustinus), born on November 13, 354. See the olive tree of Saint Augustine and explore Madaure, a Numidian city that came under Roman occupation from the 1st century AD. Madaure was renowned for its schools, where Saint Augustine studied. The ancient ruins spread over 30 hectares, featuring a Roman forum, basilicas, oil mills, and a theatre.
    • Next, visit Khamissa, also known as Thubursicu Numidarum, a Roman colony established during the reign of Emperor Trajan in the 2nd century AD. This place was home to influential bishops between 354 and 411, including Fortinius, Mauritius, and Jamarius.

    Afterwards, depart for Guelma, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

  • Day 6: Sightseeing in Guelma and Constantine expand_more
    • Guelma, established as a Roman city towards the end of the 3rd century AD, is known for its rich history. When visiting, explore its archaeological museum and the Roman Theatre, which boasts 4,500 seats. This Numidian city also houses a statue of Saint Augustine in its museum. The city has been home to several bishops, including Donatius, Megalius, and Possidus. 

    After sightseeing, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Constantine.

  • Day 7: Exploration of Annaba and Return to Algiers expand_more
    • Visit the old city of Constantine and explore its suspension bridges. Proceed to the Cirta Museum and the Great Mosque. Next, travel to Annaba where you'll tour the local museum and the Basilica of Hippo, dedicated to St. Augustine. Saint Augustine, bishop of Hippo (354-430 AD), is considered one of the four Fathers of the Latin Church. Enjoy the view extending over the Annaba golf course from the basilica's forecourt. Then, visit the Roman archaeological site of Hippo located at the foot of the basilica. Afterward, take a stroll on Boulevard du Front de Mer. 
    • Enjoy lunch and then, in the early evening, transfer to Annaba airport for your flight to Algiers. This flight will take approximately one hour.

    Once in Algiers, settle down for dinner and then retire for the night.

  • Day 8: Cultural Tour of Algiers and Departure expand_more
    • Visit the Kasbah of Algiers, the city's heart, renowned for its architectural significance, narrow streets, and Moorish art treasures. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Kasbah is an indelible mark of Algiers' historical and cultural richness.
    • Next, visit the Basilica of Our Lady of Africa. Situated on a peninsula that overlooks the district of Bab El Oued and the Bay of Algiers, the Basilica was constructed between 1858 and 1872. This landmark offers religious significance and a panoramic view of the surrounding areas.
    • Lunch break. After lunch, proceed to the Palais des Raïs, or Bastion 23. This monument is one of the most important historical landmarks in Algiers, representing one of the last existing structures that physically attest to extending the Medina of El Djazaïr (Kasbah) to the sea during the Ottoman era (16th - 19th century).
    • Finally, transfer to the airport for your departure.
