Discover the gems of Cuba's capital, Havana, starting with a drive in the vintage car through Modern Havana. Walk through Old Havana's streets and colonial architecture and go to El Palacio de las Artesanías to know about cigars, tobacco and rum.   • Day 1: Arrival in Havana and transfer expand_more
    • On your arrival, meet the representative at the airport who will transfer you to the lodging of your choice.

  • Day 2: Discover Havana by classic vintage car expand_more
    • At 9:00 am, meet your guide at the lodging and travel in a classic American vintage car (Chevrolet of the 50ies-style without roof) for 2 hours through Modern Havana. 
    • Drive over the Havana Malecon, to the Plaza de la Revolución and pass by City Quarters like Miramar, Centro Havana and Vedado. The tour ends in Old Havana from where you continue on foot. 
    • The guide explains the history of the city as you pass by colonial streets and plazas, marvelling at the colonial architecture. 
    • Visit the colonial mansion, El Palacio de las Artesanías, which offers a pairing of 3 Cuban products: rum, coffee and tobacco. A demonstration of manual tobacco rolling is first offered by a specialist in the local tobacco store. Then, by the restaurant's Sommelier, you will receive an explanation about cigars, their main characteristics, how somebody should smoke them, the main types of cigars highlighting the best in the world and in Cuba, types of cigar grips, finally culminating with a pairing that includes the lighting of tobacco, a shot of rum accompanied by coffee, achieving a perfect pairing between these three types of products.
  • Day 3: Day at leisure in Havana expand_more
    • Spend the day at leisure in Havana with many things to do.
    • You can go on the trail of Hemingway's presence in Havana with the many bars he visited, his house Finca Vigía on the outskirts of town and the fishing village Cojimar featuring in his famous book "The Old Man and the Sea".
    • You can learn more about the Cuban Revolution by visiting the Museum of the Revolution or the Memorial José Martí. 
    • Visit the Museum of Fine Arts with all Cuban art of the last 200 years and the many present-day arts workshops in the Old Town. 
    • You can also enjoy bars, cocktails and live music of Old Havana.
  • Day 4: Day at the Caribbean Sea for snorkelling expand_more
    • Meet your tour guide at your lodging and drive in an exclusive vehicle to spend a day at the Caribbean Sea. The area is part of a nature park along the shores of the Bay of Pigs. 
    • Firstly, visit the crocodile farm at Boca de Guama. Then, take a boat ride on the extensive Treasure Lake that takes you to islands, where you see an exhibition of the life of the Indian population that lived here when Christopher Columbus discovered Cuba.   
    • Continue to the shores of the Bay of Pigs where you will visit the Cueva de Los Peces, an open-air pond that is connected underground to the sea. The water is crystal clear and you see tropical fish swimming in it. 
    • Then, continue to Caleta Buena, a great spot for snorkelling at the Caribbean Sea. Here you have time free to jump in the water. There is a buffet so you can have your lunch here. Drinks and the meal are included. 
    • In the afternoon, you will be dropped off in Varadero at the all-inclusive hotel of your choice. 
  • Day 5: Day at leisure in Varadero expand_more
    • Spend leisure time in Varadero where you can enjoy the beach, the pool and the entertainment in the hotel. 

    All meals and drinks are included.

  • Day 6: Day at leisure in Varadero expand_more
    • Spend leisure time in Varadero where you can enjoy the beach, the pool and the entertainment in the hotel.

What to bring
  • Cuba has a warm climate so bring leisure summer clothes. Bring swimming gear, snorkel equipment if possible. Bring insect repellent. Bring light clothes for rainy situations.
  • For local costs bring a credit card that works in Cuba and cash euros in small notes (5, 10, 20).
  • Bring your own medicine if you need it. Don't count on finding it in Cuba. 
Know before you go
  • Guests must have a completed vaccination to enter the country (or recent negative PCR test).
  • You need a passport valid for six months after you leave. You need to have a tourist card (depends on your nationality) which can be bought online and then mailed to you. The Cuban embassies and some airlines also sell it.  
  • Havana is the Capital of Cuba: a thriving city of 2.5 million inhabitants. Here you find Cuban Culture and History. Most know the Colonial Part, Patrimony of Mankind by Unesco. But the city is a lot bigger with great sites like the Malecon, the Revolution Square, the Castles of Havana. A stay here can never be long enough, but we recommend three days.
