  • Day 1: Paro - Thimphu expand_more
    • Meet the local tour guide outside the airport.

    • Drive to Thimpu and witness the iron bridge (Tachogang Lhakhang), which was built in the 15th century.

    • Dinner at a local restaurant.

    • Overnight in Thimpu.

  • Day 2: Thimphu expand_more
    • Begin the day by visiting the smallest city square in the world - Clock Tower Square.

    • Drive to the majestic Buddha Point, one of the most recognizable landmarks and religious symbols of Bhutan.

    • Continue with a visit to Tashicho Dzong ( Fortress of the glorious reign).

    • Stop for lunch at a 500-year-old Bhutanese house and taste some local food.

    • After lunch, drive to the Botanical Garden before heading back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Day 3: Punakha expand_more
    • Today, the first stop is the Dochula Pass, which is approximately 3100m above sea level.

    • Continue the drive to Punakha and visit the Punakha Dzong.

    • Go for an easy hike and climb the beautiful Khamsum Yulley Stupa. 

    • On the way back, stop at the base camp and try river rafting across the longest suspension bridge.

    • Overnight stay at a farmhouse.

  • Day 4: Phobjikha expand_more
    • Today, drive past the Wangdue Valley and stop over to see the ruined fortress, which was built in 1638.

    • Get an opportunity to explore the ancient 16th-century monastery, the largest and best-preserved architecture in Bhutan.

    • Overnight stay in Phobjikha.

  • Day 5: Phobjikha via Wangdue - Paro expand_more
    • Drive back to Paro from the same route but stop at a different spot for sightseeing.

    • First stop at Lawala Pass 3400m to look over yak herders' camp.

    • Later, stop at the Botanical Garden in Lamperi before heading back to Paro.

    • Upon arrival, visit the Rinpung Dzong.

    • Later in the day, visit the National Museum or Ta Dzong.

    • After the museum, witness the national game of Bhutan - archery.

    • Transfer to the hotel after the day ends.

  • Day 6: Jele Dzong expand_more
    • Start the Druk Path trek near the National Museum.

    • Drive through a farm road until you reach pine forests. The trail takes us steadily uphill all the way to Jela Dzong, a now ruined temple built as a war fortress long in the past. From here, get a stunning view of the Paro Valley below.

    • Stop at the pass to have a picnic lunch and witness the mighty Jomolhari mountain (7400m).

    • Continue the drive to Haa Valley and take a leisure walk through a small town. 

    • Dinner and overnight stay in Haa.

  • Day 7: Haa Valley Excursion expand_more
    • Embark on a hike through the Meri Puensum Nature trail. It is a five-hour hike through the fir forests.

    • Start the cultural sightseeing from Lhakhang Karpo (white temple) to Lhakhang Nagpo (black temple).

    • Drive to Damthang Valley, the border of China and Bhutan, to see the beautiful mountain landscape.

    • Overnight at Haa Valley.

  • Day 8: Back to Paro expand_more
    • Drive to Paro.

    • Stop at Dobji Dzong, which was used as a prison during the time of governors and civil war in the 18th century. 

    • Come across many beautiful traditional houses and fields along the road.

    • Upon arrival, visit  Kyichu Lhakhang, the oldest temple in Bhutan built by a Tibetan king.

    • Dinner and overnight stay at Paro.

  • Day 9: Taktsang Monastery expand_more
    • After breakfast, go for a short hike. Drive for about 30 minutes from the hotel to reach the point.

    • Upon arrival at the base camp, hire a pony or trek to the Tiger's Nest.

    • Spend the day at leisure after the trek. Go shopping in the local markets.

    • Dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 10: Departure - Airport expand_more
    • Early morning departure from Paro International Airport.

Bhutan Visa Requirements:

  • Every visitor to Bhutan requires a tourist visa. Exceptions are Indian and Bangladesh passport holders.

  • Visas are only issued to tourists who book tour packages with local tour operators directly or through a foreign travel agent.

  • A visa application is submitted by the tour operator on behalf of visitors.

  • Visa is issued by the Tourism Council of Bhutan in Thimphu, Bhutan.

  • The Royal Government of Bhutan sets minimum selling prices for packages to Bhutan, and this must be paid in US dollars prior to arrival in Bhutan.
