- Connect with your tour guide, who will pick you up from your hotel in Heraklion or Heraklion Cruise Port to start the program.
- Begin by visiting Phaistos Minoan Palace and looking at the famous Phaistos Disc.
- Then, taste six premium labels of the local varietals Kotsifali, Mandilari, Vidiano, Vilana and the international Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon in the vineyards of a boutique family-run winery.
- Afterwards, proceed to a tiny, unknown village for a superb home-hosted culinary experience in an ambient farmhouse.
- Later, return to your drop off location in Heraklion to conclude the tour.

Know before you go
- It takes 1h to drive from Heraklion to Phaistos. The visit to the site typically takes 90 min. From Phaistos to the boutique winery it's approx. 45 min. The private winery tour and tasting take approx. 1h. We taste at least 5-6 different labels. As we want to avoid busy venues, we typically choose to visit 1 of our 5 favourite acclaimed boutique wineries, in the wine region in central Crete. Hence, from the vineyard to the farmhouse it may take 15-45 minutes depending on the winery we visit.
- Lunch takes approx. 2h, it's private and special dietary restrictions can be easily accommodated if we know soon enough. Our lunches typically include fresh seasonal salads, iconic meat dishes, local specialities, vegan & vegetarian recipes, dessert, fine wine, and raki (local distillate).
