Meet your driver at the agreed-upon location in Chania and head to Elafonissi, a place of exceptional natural beauty. Pinκ Sand - Turquoise Sea characterizes the area of Elafonissos and makes it such an exotic place. It is the little sand islets formed, the shallow turquoise waters of the sea, which at a point looks like a lagoon.

Enjoy the views as you approach Elafonissi, the downhill road lets you glimpse the area from afar. You will see blue and turquoise colours of the sea, white-sand beaches all over the place and cedars scattered all around.  The pink colour of the sand comes from thousands of seashells which have been thrashed into small pieces for hundreds of years.

Move opposite the beach to Elafonissi Island, which you can easily reach by walking or swimming through the shallow sea. The whole area is under the protection of the Natura-Program, therefore it is strictly forbidden to take sand with you.
