  • This is a slave defence wall constructed from mud during the slavery era in the Northern Part of Gold Coast but now Ghana. The locals thought of shielding themselves from the slave raiders and settled on building this wall with holes perforated throughout and big enough to allow them to shoot their enemies through them. This initiative was led by a great warrior called Tangia.
