Description

Hike through the beautiful Caucasus mountains on this 4-day tour to explore the medieval gems in the impressive fortress towns of Shatili and Mutso. Enjoy panoramic views in Khevsureti village. Trek to Ardoti and experience the serene mountain landscape. Hike to the Khonischala village, one of the two small and legendary villages in Dusheti district of Georgia, and learn about its culture and history.

  • Day 1: Tbilisi to Shatili expand_more

    • Set out for a drive from Tbilisi to Khevsureti village. Stop by for a hot picnic lunch at Datvisjvari Pass before continuing on with the journey.

    • Trek from the picturesque Khevsureti village to the Kitsani village and visit its ancient fortress. 

    • Continue towards Shatili and reach by mid-afternoon. Explore the surroundings in Shatili at your leisure.

    • Return to the guesthouse in Shatili for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Day 2: Trek to Mutso expand_more

    • Start the 12 km trek from Shatili to Mutso after breakast. 

    • Once you reach Mutso, you will get some time in the afternoon to enjoy lunch and set out on an exploration of the quaint, beautiful village, home to around 30 ancient fortified structures and awe-inspiring natural beauty.

    • Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at a camp near Mutso.

  • Day 3: Ardoti expand_more
    • Enjoy an early breakfast and trek from Mutso to the remote village of Ardoti, located at the far end of the valley. 
    • Explore the serene setting thoroughly and have lunch before starting on the 6-kilometre descent back to Mutso

    • Have dinner and stay at the guest house in Mutso.

  • Day 4: Departure expand_more

    • Have breakfast and then get ready for a 7-kilometre hike to Khonischala, one of the two small and legendary villages in Dusheti district of Georgia.

    • After spending some time exploring the village, descend back to Tbilisi.

    • Have lunch and depart for your homebound journey.
