After pick up from your accommodation in Beaune, visit the acclaimed 15th-century Hospices de Beaune, a charity hospital, still maintained today with the proceeds from its famous wine auction.

Having delved into the mysteries of the magnificent van der Weyden polyptych, we then drive into the Cote de Beaune for a private wine tasting in a family-run cellar in one of the well-known villages of the Cote de Beaune. There, with the aid of the winemaker, we will discover the mystery of ‘terroir’ unique to Burgundy.

Lunch may be taken at a different, more modern winery with the opportunity to taste up to 10 wines (tasting size only) with a traditional meal. The sommelier visits each table for an individualized summary and nuances of each wine.

Next, we drive through the slopes of the Cote de Beaune for an explanation of ‘terroir’ and closer examination of the vines.
