Option n°1, the allies' artificial harbor, a German battery with the original guns still there and the American sector :

    - The American Cemetery: I will tell you some of the stories of some of the war victims

    - Omaha Beach: I will explain the battle from the beach

    - Pointe du Hoc: you will hear the story of the brave American Rangers who had to scale the cliff to neutralize the German guns on top,

    Gold Beach sector, with :

    - Longues sur Mer: a German battery with the original canons still in their original casemates. If there are children on the tour, they will love this place. I will explain the naval battle between the Allies and the Germans there.

    - Arromanches: we will see the remains of the famous Allies' artificial harbor that are still there! It is the only construction we have left from the Allies. I will explain the engineering from the beach.

    Option n°2, both American sectors:

    - the American Cemetery: I will tell you some of the stories of some of the war victims

    - Omaha Beach: I will explain the battle from the beach

    - Pointe du Hoc: you will hear the story of the brave American Rangers who had to scale the cliff to neutralize the German guns on top,

    - Sainte Mère Eglise: you will see the church where the famous American paratrooper got snagged on top of the bell tower. This is our lunch stop too.

    - Utah Beach: I will explain the landings of the 4th infantry division. On the way from Utah, we will see the monument dedicated to Richard WINTERS, hero of the series "Band of Brothers".

These are the stops, but there will also be a lot of monuments, remains and sites to see from the vehicle on the way. You will be able to eat lunch on your own on the way. I will recommend good places for lunch. Lunch is not included.

On some of the sites, you will be given some free time to pay your respects, take photos or explore on your own.

The tour is around 8 hours long. The distance we cover on this tour is around 160 miles.

I don’t need to know the tour option now. We can talk about it in the morning of the tour.
