  • Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Baringo expand_more
    • At 07:30 am, pick up from the hotel and assemble at the departure point in Nairobi.
    • After safari briefing, leave Nairobi in the morning and drive west to the edge of the escarpment where, stopping briefly at a viewpoint, the awesome panorama of the Great Rift Valley stretches out before you with the extinct volcanoes of Suswa and Longonot and the glistening waters of Lake Naivasha in the near distance.
    • Descend to the Rift Valley floor and past Lakes Naivasha and Lake Elementaita to Nakuru town, where you stop for an early lunch and proceed to Lake Baringo, arriving early afternoon.
    • Our day adventure in Baringo begins with boat rides and fishing expeditions, as well as a visit to the island.
    • Return to the camp/hotel for dinner & overnight.

  • Day 2: Lake Baringo – Lake Nakuru expand_more
    • After breakfast, enjoy a walk beside the lake, then visit the local communities to interact with them as we learn and experience their rich culture.
    • Set out for the second leg of the safari towards Lake Bogoria, located inside Lake Bogoria National Reserve. 
    • Arrive in time for lunch at the shores of Lake Bogoria. Have a picnic lunch by the lakeside.
    • In the afternoon, explore Lake Bogoria National Reserve on a game drive and walk around this spectacular lake in the heart of an arid landscape. 
    • The soda lake attracts massive flocks of flamingos and is often carpeted in pink due to the high concentrations of these birds.
    • The western shore has hot springs. One can also find geysers shooting fountains of hot water high into the air and pools of hot water bubbling from the ground, spurting steam. The place is also known for bubbling geothermal pools. 
    • The freshwater springs at the lake's edge attract an abundance of birds and wildlife.
    • Late afternoon, embark on the drive to Nakuru town, arriving in time for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 3: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha expand_more
    • Early breakfast will be served at 06:00 am.
    • Later, with a picnic lunch, leave for a day-long extensive game drive at Lake Nakuru Park.
    • The lake is famous for its great concentration of birds, particularly the colourful pink flamingo that seasonally feeds off the abundant algae in the shallow waters of this soda lake. The park also serves as a conservation area for the endangered rhinos.
    • Drive up to the Baboon Cliff, the highest point in the park that offers scenic views of the park and its surrounding area and is great for taking photos.
    • Embark on your afternoon game drive around the lake. See waterbuck, gazelle, buffalo, rhino, the rare Rothschild giraffe, and perhaps a lion or leopard, which will also take you to Lake Nakuru Makaria Falls.
    • Leave Nakuru for a return journey to Nairobi, stopping en route at Lake Elementeita for a scenic view and photo taking.
    • Proceed to Lake Naivasha, arriving late afternoon. Time permitting, you can join locals for an adventure fishing in the lake.
    • Dinner and overnight at a budget hotel or camp in Lake Naivasha.

  • Day 4: Lake Naivasha & Hell's Gates Park Adventure expand_more
    • A short (5 min) drive to Lake Naivasha for breakfast served by the lakeside. Lake Naivasha is one of the lakes in the region that offers views of different bird life and other wild animals. 
    • Explore the lake in the morning with an optional boat ride and fishing activities. 
    • Lunch by the lakeside prepared with fresh fish catches from Lake Naivasha. 
    • After a short break, proceed on a short 10-minute drive to Hell's Gate National Park for a walking and cycling tour accompanied by a guide. 
    • Located in the Naivasha area, this is one of the lowland parks in the country, which you can walk through. The looming cliffs and the Hell's Gate gorge are spectacular and home to various birds and animals, such as zebra, baboons, Thomson's gazelle, antelope, cheetah, and leopards. Another main attraction is Fischer's Tower, a 25-m-high calcium volcanic rock.
    • The Olkaria Geothermal power station, which uses one of the world's hottest energy sources, is also a spectacular site, with plumes of steam rising into the air. 
    • After the Hell's Gate adventure, return to the hotel /camp for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 5: Naivasha - Masai Mara expand_more
    • Pick up after breakfast and check out of the camp/hotel before leaving for Masai Mara.
    • At 09:00 am, depart Naivasha for your journey to Masai Mara. 
    • The journey will take you through the vast Rift Valley with its extinct volcanoes and scenic views.  
    • Lunch at Narok Town and proceed to Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in time for the afternoon game drive. 
    • This park offers you the chance to witness the 8th wonder of the world - the great Wildebeest Migration - between June and September.  
    • Even throughout the rest of the year, the park has all the wildlife you can imagine, from the Big Five in the plains to rivers full of hippos and crocodiles. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight. 
    • Meals and overnight at a budget safari camp in Masai Mara.

  • Day 6: Masai Mara Full Day - Overnight at Maji Moto Loita expand_more
    • After breakfast, leave camp for a full-day game drive. Picnic lunch will be served near the Mara River. 
    • The Mara is the land of African legend; lions are abundant throughout the park, as are elephants, giraffes, various gazelle species, and zebra. Cheetahs and leopards are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhinos.
    • Late afternoon, go for the last game drive as you exit the game reserve to Maji Moto for dinner and overnight in preparation for a walking safari in Loita Hills.

  • Day 7: Ndarara - Letukunyi expand_more
    • After breakfast, leave Maji moto for Letukunyi, taking about 5-6 hours to walk through the scattered bushes and explore the beautiful Loita Hills in the Nguruman Escarpment through the forests, where you see striking black and white Colombus monkeys.  
    • Occasionally, see leopard or bushbuck as you visit various secret waterholes. 
    • There are also a variety of highland birds to view, such as the turaco, parrot, hornbill, starling, sunbird, and birds of prey. 
    • Dinner and overnight at Letukunyi camp.

    Main destination: Maji Moto - Letukunyi

  • Day 8: Letukunyi - Morinjo expand_more
    • Leave Letukunyi Camp early in the morning for an enjoyable walk before the day gets too hot.
    • Pass through Narosura for lunch or to buy what might be usually out of stock. 
    • After an hour or two in this remote town in  Maasai land, proceed to Morinjo for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 9: Morinjo - Enkutoto expand_more
    • After breakfast, leave Morinjo and walk through the forest, a few of the remaining true-forested wilderness areas in East Africa. 
    • The walk will take 5-6 hours across the rolling highlands up to Osupuko, the summit of the Loita Hills (8,660 ft.), with incredible views, before descending to the camp.  
    • This is a favourite roost for velvet monkeys. Walk through the forests and glades in search of bohor reedbuck, East African eland, warthog, and the striking black and white Colombus monkeys. Occasionally, one may see bushbuck while walking to Enkutoto for dinner & overnight.

  • Day 10: Enkutoto - Njoroi expand_more
    • After breakfast, leave Enkutoto, walking leisurely for 4-5 hours to Njoroi Campsite for dinner and overnight. 
    • Enjoy an excellent view of the surrounding area in the camp, such as Lake Magadi, Ngong hills, Lake Natron, and all the way to the Tanzania border on a clear day. 
    • Dinner and overnight at the Njoroi campsite.

  • Day 11: Njoroi - Ngurumani - Amboseli expand_more
    • After breakfast, descend the escarpment through small farms to Nguruman town for transfer back via Lake Magadi, meeting a driver guide at Ololgesalie prehistoric site.
    • Depart for a journey south to Amboseli National Park with a lunch break at Emali town. 
    • Proceed to Amboseli, arriving in time for an evening game drive with a scenic view of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro in the backdrop. 
    • Return to the camp for dinner & overnight.

  • Day 12: Amboseli - Chyulu expand_more
    • At 06:00 am, proceed for an early morning pre-breakfast game drive.
    • Return to the camp for breakfast. 
    • After breakfast, proceed for a further extensive game drive, then return to camp for lunch.  
    • After lunch, transfer with a walking guide & porters to the starting point of the walking tour off the tarmac towards Chyulu Hills, located between Amboseli and Tsavo Park. 
    • Proceed with a walk to the campsite in Chyulu Hills. 
    • Dinner & overnight at the campsite.

  • Day 13: Chyulu Hills Walking Tour expand_more
    • Explore sections of one of the world's longest "Lava Tube" caves - Leviathan. 
    • These relatively rare worldwide caves were formed when molten lava of a specific type and viscosity flowed down a slope of a specific angle. 
    • The surface layer cooled and solidified, but the lower part, still molten, continued to flow down.
    • At this point, somewhere up the hillside, a collapse of the surface crust occurred through which air enters, and so a tube evacuated itself just below the surface. 
    • Afternoon and the evening were spent in the caves looking at some fascinating formations found therein - Sinkholes, lava ropes, stalagmites and stalactites, benches and the secondary, water-formed features.
    • Dinner & overnight at the campsite.

  • Day 14: Safari Walking on Chyulu expand_more
    • Early morning departure by road for the top of the Chyulu Hills after breakfast.
    • It is a superb walking country with gently undulating grasslands interspersed with dense forest patches.
    • Possibility of viewing herds of eland and other antelope, giraffe, zebra, and wildebeest with a slightly lesser chance to see elephant, lion, buffalo and other game that live in the area. Probable views of Kilimanjaro just 50 km away. The night will be spent along the crest. 
    • Probably cool and windy with low clouds in the early morning. (Therefore, a warm sleeping bag comes in handy). 
    • Dinner & overnight at the campsite.

  • Day 15: Chyulu Hills Safari Walk expand_more
    • A full day of guided walks with experienced guides explores this magnificent Chyulu wilderness by visiting the caves.
    • In the afternoon, proceed toward the park's edge for dinner and overnight at the campsite.

    • After breakfast, depart Chyulu Hill Park for a long walk towards the Mombasa - Nairobi road highway to meet the driver guide at Kibwezi town, arriving in time for early lunch.
    • After lunch, drive along Mombasa Road to Tsavo West. Enter the park through the Mtitu gate. 
    • Sit back and enjoy a game drive in this magnificent park en route to the camp or return for overnight at one of the budget hotels at Mtitu gate, arriving in time for dinner.

  • Day 17: Tsavo West - Tsavo East expand_more
    • After an early breakfast, depart with picnic lunch boxes for an extensive game drive in the vast Tsavo West Park, taking you to Mzima Springs, where a picnic lunch will be served.
    • Continue with the game drive in Tsavo, including a visit to the rhino sanctuary.
    • Indulge in the last game viewing as you exit Tsavo West for Tsavo East through Voi Gate.
    • Arrive in time for dinner & overnight at the camp or in a budget hotel at Voi.

    • At 06:00 am, have an early breakfast.
    • With packed lunch boxes, depart for a full day of game-watching in Tsavo East, the largest park in Kenya, which covers an area of 13,747 km2.
    • Continue with the afternoon game drive en route to Aruba Dam, a water hole where animals come to drink water. Physical attractions include the Tsavo River, Yatta Plateau, 300 km2, Mdanda Rock, Lugard Falls, Voi seasonal River, and Aruba Dam.
    • You also have a chance to see animals like red elephants, rhinos, leopards, cheetahs, and giraffes, among others. 
    • Late afternoon, leave Tsavo east through the gate to Ngutuni Sanctuary, arriving in time for dinner and overnight.

    • After breakfast, begin an extensive game viewing till lunchtime. Ngutuni Sanctuary is a private game sanctuary bordering Tsavo East National Park.
    • From Ngutuni, you have great views of the Sagala and Mwakingali hills and a variety of wildlife, including lion, cheetah, elephant, and buffalo, as well as a huge variety of plains game and bird life.
    • While on safari to Ngutuni sanctuary, do a game drive and spot many animals, including many big cats, at very close range.
    • More game drives are offered in the afternoon till late evening as you return to your camp for dinner and overnight.

    • After breakfast, more game is offered as you exit Ngutuni for Taita Hills Sanctuary, arriving in time for lunch at Taita Hills Game Lodge.  
    • After lunch, proceed with game viewing in this wildlife and bird-life-rich sanctuary until sunset. Chances are good to see lions as well as other plain games.
    • Dinner and overnight at Sarova Salt Lick Lodge, known for its imaginative structure.
    • A complex of rondavels sits on stilts over a series of water holes. The two-storey towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs, are connected by open-air bridges, creating an African fantasy of a medieval fortress. 
    • The lodge has been built with game viewing in mind - you can see animals in all directions because it offers spectacular open views.

    • Have an early morning game drive before breakfast, the best time to see the rich bird life of East Africa and wildlife before returning to the lodge for breakfast. 
    • Check out of the lodge and continue with the mid-morning game drive while exiting the park for the last leg of your journey to Mombasa, where lunch will be served. 
    • Transfer in the afternoon and drop off at your preferred beach hotel in Kenya's pristine white-sand beach.
