Day 1: Old Moses expand_more
Depart from the hotel after breakfast.
Drive from Nanyuki. From here, it is around 23 km to the Sirimon Park gate (2650m). Picnic lunch will be served at the gate.
After signing in with the park officials, start an acclimatization hike walking through the tropical forest, occasionally enjoying sightings of monkeys, buffalo or even an elephant.
Arrive at the Old Moses (Judmaier) camp (3300 m) late in the evening.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Old Moses Camp (Lunch - Dinner).

Day 2: Liki North Camp expand_more
After breakfast, start the hike of the moorland vegetation, walking through the picturesque views of the Sirimon and the Mackinders valleys and arriving at the Liki North Hut in the early afternoon.
Lunch at this camp and later take an acclimatization walk around the camp.
Overnight stay Liki North Camp (Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner).

Day 3: Shiptons expand_more
Hike up the steep slope towards the Shiptons camp (4200m) and arrive in time for lunch. The giant groundswells occurring along this route are some of the spectacular views on Mount Kenya.
Afternoon walk to the Kami Hut and later back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Overnight stay at Shipton’s Camp (Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner).

Day 4: Austrian Hut expand_more
Depart the Shipton’s after breakfast and make peak-circuit navigation to the Austrian hut (4790m).
On the way, enjoy the views of the Simba col and the Lewis glacier.
Arrive at the Top hut in time for a hot lunch.
Spend the afternoon at leisure—dinner and overnight at the camp.
Overnight stay at Austrian Hut Camp (Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner).

Day 5: Point Lenana / Mt Kenya Lodge expand_more
At 0430 hrs, wake up and have tea and biscuits.
Start the attempt to summit the peak (The point Lenana - 4985m).
Take photos of the African sunrise. It is also possible to see Mount Kilimanjaro to the West if the weather is clear.
Descend to the Mintos camp (4100m) to have breakfast.
Descend further down to the Meru Mount Kenya Lodge (2950m) to spend the night.
Overnight stay at Meru Mount Kenya Lodge (Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner).

Day 6: Return to Chogoria/Nairobi expand_more
Depart the lodge after breakfast and walk through the spectacular bamboo forest to connect with the 4x4 vehicle, which will take you to Chogoria town, where we will connect with our transfer vehicle to Nairobi.

Sirimon is the gentle route to ascend Mount Kenya, and descending via Chogoria is the most scenic route.
