5-Day Point Lenana Summit Trek From Nairobi
Description
Go on a 5-day tour and tackle this route which is the fastest for the Point Lenana Summit. Ascend the peak in only 4 days and stay at bunkhouses at each camp so a tent is not necessary. Head past the Park Headquarters up the ridge between the Northern and Southern Naro Moru Rivers.

Day 1 : Nairobi - Naromoru expand_more
Get picked up from the hotel and transfer to Naromoru.
Arrive in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, sort out the gear and have a nature walk ready for the big day.
Dinner and overnight at a mountain lodge or banker house.

Day 2 : Naromoru to Meteorological Station expand_more
Transfer to Naromoru Park Gate for registration and where the hike starts, 2600m.
From the gate, keep to the park track, which follows the crest of a board ridge between the Northern and Southern Naromoru valleys. The going is easy and it’s a pleasant walking through the forest.
About two-thirds of the way up after the bridge, enjoy a good view of the Northern Naromoru valley.
End today's trek at Met station 3,000m.
Dinner and overnight rest.

Day 3 : Met Station - Mackinders Camp expand_more
Head uphill on the track to pass the station after about half an hour.
Reach the end of the forest belt and enter the moorland. This is the vertical bog conditions range from damp to glutinous depending on when it last rained.
Continue and reach a fork overlooking Teleki Valley to reach Mackinders Camp, 4,200m.
Dinner and overnight at Mackinders Camp.

Day 4 : Mackinders Camp - Point Lenana - Met Station expand_more
Start from the Mackindeers camp, and reach the point Lenana.
Stop for some time to enjoy the breathtaking views.
Head back to Met station.

Day 5 : Met Station – Naromoru - Nairobi expand_more
After breakfast, descend through the rainforest which is 9 km to Naromoru Park Gate at 2,600m.
Connect with the transport back to Nairobi.
