Day 1: Fly to Bahir Dar expand_more
Early in the morning, arrive at the domestic terminal of Addis Ababa Bole Airport to check in and fly to Bahirdar.
After arrival, directly transfer to the hotel.
After breakfast, go on a boat ride on Lake Tana.
Pay a visit to two of the most beautiful monasteries namely Ura Kidane Mehret and Azwa Maryam.
Drive back to Bahir Dar. On the way, see the outlet of the famous Blue Nile river, as it depart from the lake.
Stop for a lunch break.
In the afternoon, drive to the Blue Nile Falls to enjoy the picturesque views.

Day 2: Drive to Gondar expand_more
After breakfast, drive to Gondar 180 km also known as the Camelot of Africa.
Head towards the foothills of the breathtaking Semien Mountains National Park in the northwestern part of the country.
Visit the oldest and the most impressive Gonderine structure, the magnificent castle compound including the two-storied palace of Emperor Fasilides, built of rock-hewn brown basalt stone held together with mortar, the fantastically decorated Debre Birhan Selassie Church.
See the bath of King Fasilides and the ruined palace of Queen Mentewab at Kusquam.

Day 3: Fly to Aksum expand_more
Early morning after breakfast, take a flight to Aksum and check in to the hotel.
Pay a visit to the archaeological museum and the famous stelae park to explore the magnificent single block of stones erected in the 3rd century.
Head towards the Saint Mary Zion Cathedral where the original holy Ark of the Covenant is sheltered.
Continue to the subterranean tomb of King Kaleb and his son King Gebre Meskel.
Visit the ruined palace and bath of the Queen of Sheba.

Day 4: Fly to Lalibela expand_more
After breakfast, reach the airport and fly to Lalibela also called the Jerusalem of Ethiopia.
Explore the first group of the monolithic red-tuff churches incredibly carved into the rock. Your guide will lead you through the network of crevices and tunnels linking each of the churches.
Take a walk through the beautiful Saint George Church.
Late afternoon, drive back to your hotel.

Day 5: Drive back to Addis Ababa expand_more
Head towards the airport to fly back to Addis Ababa.
After arrival, enjoy shopping in your free time.
In the evening, enjoy a farewell evening cultural dinner party in one of the traditional Ethiopian restaurants with dances from the different ethnic groups.
Transfer to the airport for your departure.
