    • Meet your Ethiopian tour guide and drive to Hamed Ela via Berhale where the camel caravan stops before proceeding to the northern highlands.

    • See the Danakil Depression, which is one of the most inhospitable regions of the world, yet it is full of eye-catching colours because of its Sulphur springs.

    • Camp at Hamed Ela and head to see the beautiful sunset at Dallol before retiring to your room.

    • Drive to Ragad (Asebo) to see the salt mining and continue to Dallol to visit a landscape formed by volcanic activity, which is the hottest place on Earth where only merchants can go frequently to stock up on salt.

    • Visit Lake Assal, which is a saline lake and is the lowest point in Africa and proceed to follow the salt-laden camel caravans along with walking with the Afar people.

    • Drive back to Hamed Ela, which is a small village near Lake Assal and return to Mekele.
