- Danankil depression is found in the north eastern part of Ethiopia, its geologigical formations was formed by the moving appart of the tectonic plates 30 millions years ago.
- That place is also called the Afar triangle because that is the exact place where the three tectonic plates meets . Danakil depration is also a home for the unique places like Dallol and Erta Ale (the smoking mountain). Dallol is one of the hottest place on earth with annual avrage temprature is 38 degree celcious and it is the lowest place in Africa with an altitude of 121 meters below sea level.
- Visit the colourful places, the massive salt plain, the traditional salt mining , the caravan camels, the salt lake (Asale) and the local communities of Afar
- Hike to the top of the Volcano of Erta Ale(the smoking mountain) .

Day 1 : Mekele to Hammedela expand_more
- Drive from Mekele to Berhale.
- En-route, see the beautiful landscape while going down to the rift valley.
- Enjoy a lunch break in a town called Berhale, one of the Afar towns.
- Take the opportunity to see the lifestyle of the local community (Afar ).
- After lunch, drive to the small village called Hammedela, situated 7 kilometers away from the salt plain and 90 meters below sea level; the campsite for the night.
- Drive to the salt flat for a sunset program on the beautiful salt plain which has an altitude of 121 meters below sea level(lowest place in Africa)
- See the caravan camels which carries salt bricks from the salt mine going back from the salt plain to the high lands of Tigray.

Day 2: Hammedela - Abala - Erta Ale expand_more
- Wake up early in the morning to go to the colorful place of Dallol.
- Visit the salt mountain, the yellow pond (mineral spring), and the traditional salt mining by the ''Arho'' people and the Afar community.
- Drive straight to Erta Ale( the smoking mountain).
- Take a lunch break in Abala or Iribti.
- Reaching the base camp, make the final preparation and have dinner.
- Start trekking to see the volcano.
- Reach the campsite, around 200m from the volcano.

Day 3: Ertale - Afdera - Mekele expand_more
- Drive to Afdera town known for its massive salt production.
- Enjoy the swimming program in the salt lake of Afdera, and feel refreshed from the natural hot spring situated on the side of the lake.
- Have lunch in one of the local hotels.
- After lunch, drive back to Mekele.
- End of program
