Description

Join on a fun-filled tour to meet and greet with several tribes of Ethiopia. Start your tour from Jinka and enjoy traditional Evangadi dance in Hamer before reaching Turmi. Then continue to meet and interact with more than seven tribes, including Banna, Ari, Hamer and Tsemay tribes and learn their tradition and culture along with a visit to Mursi Village.

  • Day 1: En route to Turmi expand_more
    • Arrive at Jinka Airport and then drive to Turmi with your Ethiopian guide.
    • Visit the Hamer to witness a traditional dance called Evangadi.

    Spend overnight at the hotel or camp in the village.

  • Day 2: Turmi to Jinka expand_more
    • Go for an early morning excursion to Omorate town. Meet the Dasenach and Karo tribes by crossing the Omo river. 
    • Return to Turmi for lunch.
    • Drive to the weekly market at Keyafer village. Stop here to visit the Thursday weekly market or Demaka Saturday weekly market.
    • Next, head to visit Banna, Ari, Hamer and Tsemay, tribes.
    • Drive to Jinka. Stay overnight at a Jinka Resort or Omo Eco-Lodge.
  • Day 3: Departure expand_more
    • Head out for an excursion to a Mursi village (approx 66 km from Jinka). The Mursi are one of the original ethnic groups in Ethiopia. They live in meagre huts made of straw leaves. The women wear terra cotta jewellery on their enormously stretched lower lips and ear lobes, while the men are famous for their hairstyle. 
    • Drive to Jinka Airport.
