Day 1: Explore the rural Ethiopian culture in Merebarbu expand_more
Meet your English-speaking Ethiopian guide for pick-up in Lalibela.
Trek towards the Merebarbu plateau region and reach the destination by noon.
After a quick lunch, explore the surrounding villages and interact with the rural Ethiopian community.
Return to the hotel and enjoy a traditional meal near the bonfire.

Day 2: Discover the Wildlife in Tigu Kebele Village expand_more
After an early breakfast, trek to the Tigu Kebele village, which will take around five hours.
Encounter with hundreds of bleeding-heart monkeys, also known as Gelada Baboons. They are only found in this region of Ethiopia. These baboons are known for their vegetarian diet and survive only on grass.
Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Sightseeing tour to 'New Jerusalam' expand_more
Visit the UNESCO world heritage site, Rock-hewn Churches of Lalibela. This entire area is known as the 'New Jerusalem' and is popular among tourists as a place of pilgrimage and devotion. Explore the surrounding areas and walk inside churches and in front of the monoliths.
