- Departure from your hotel in the morning for a day of sightseeing:
- The Giza Plateau is the flagship site of the Pharaonic civilisation, with its three famous pyramids, "Khéops, Khéphren, and Mykérinos," as well as the enigmatic limestone Sphinx, a lion's body with a huge human head guarding the necropolis. King Khephren's funerary temple was built entirely of limestone and granite.
- The Saqqara site, a vast funerary complex containing the necropolis of dignitaries and the so-called step pyramid of King Djoser (the founder of the 3rd Pharaonic dynasty, around 2700 BC). This pyramid represents the first attempt at pyramidal construction and is considered the world's first ashlar construction.
- The site of Dahshur. This is the site of the rhomboid pyramid and the "red" pyramid, both built by King Sefru (founder of the 4th Pharaonic dynasty and father of the famous pharaoh Cheops). The style of these two pyramids allows you to follow the architectural evolution of pyramid design, illustrating the intermediate stage between the stepped pyramid type at Saqqara and the perfectly pyramidal type of those on the Giza plateau. You will also have the opportunity to enter the "red" pyramid to admire the interior architecture of this fascinating structure.
