Description

Take a ride on the public canoe along a Napo river tributary of the Amazon river on this 4-day private guided tour. Get an opportunity to track and feed the rare pink dolphins. Discover diverse animals ranging from howler monkeys to sloths and more. Camp and have delicacies by the river while you marvel at the flora and fauna.

  • Day 1 - Coca to Martinica Community expand_more
    • Meet your tour guide at the agreed-upon location.

    • Head down to the river from the city of Coca at 07:30 am via motorized public canoe. 

    • Stop at Pañacocha for lunch, before continuing on to Rocafuetre followed by arrival at 4:00 pm. 

    • Take another canoe down the Aguarico River to our destination, the Martinica Community on the Cocaya River.

    • Get the pre-assigned cabins for the stay, followed by dinner.

    • Spend the rest of the evening at leisure. 

  • Day 2 - See Amazon Animals expand_more
    • Look for the fantastic pink river dolphin by canoe and click as many pictures as you like. 

    • Trek to the salt licks to watch the parrot and Lorikeets.

    • Have lunch and spend the afternoon looking for some of the amazing creatures of the Amazon like parrots, toucans, lorikeets, parakeets, howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, sloths, capuchin monkeys, etc. 

    • Go in search of caiman in the lagoon.

    • Have dinner and retire for the night. 

  • Day 3 - Cocaya to Saladero expand_more
    • Leave by canoe, down the Cocaya River, to Saladero which has mineral-rich mud holes and are used by several animals including the howler monkey. 

    • Take a short walk to reach the Saladero.

    • Return to the camp for lunch.

    • Continue exploring and searching for wildlife. 

    • Go for a night walk in the jungle post-dinner to observe frogs, rodents, insects and other nocturnal species.

    • Retire for the night.

  • Day 4 - Departure expand_more
    • Rise at dawn, 4:00 am, in order to catch the public transport and canoe back to Coca. 

    • Stop at Pañacocha for lunch before continuing to the city of Coca.
