Also, walk around the lake of Limpiopungo to observe exuberant flora and fauna in the area and take in panoramic views of the Cotopaxi Volcano.

    • Connect with your tour guide, who will pick you up from your hotel/accommodation, to start the itinerary. 
    • Drive for around 90 minutes to reach Cotopaxi ranger station. 
    • From there, shift the car and get on a four-wheeler car to get to 14,700 feet. 
    • In 45 more minutes, get to the parking and walk to get to the refuge, which is on 16000 feet. Walking lasts around 40 minutes. 
    • Two hours later, drive back to the entrance and visit Limpiopungo lake, a place to walk and see birds.
    • Finally, return to your hotel to conclude the tour.
