  • Day 1- Arrive in Lima expand_more
    • Meet the tour guide upon arriving at Lima´s airport, and transfer to the hotel in Miraflores district (check-in at 15:00 hours).

    Overnight.

  • Day 2- Explore Lima expand_more
    • Have breakfast in the hotel. In the morning, begin the city tour of Colonial and Modern Lima, including Market Square, where the Government Palace is located, the Cathedral, and the Municipal Palace.
    • Visit the church San Francisco Catacombs. 
    • Continue to visit the residential and modern area with its San Isidro and Miraflores districts, culminating with a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean. Engage in leisurely shopping.

    Return and overnight.

  • Day 3- See the Highlights of Cusco expand_more
    • Have breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to board the flight to Cusco. 
    • Arrive, reception, and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the morning free to acclimatize to the altitude. 
    • Visit Cusco city and see the Cathedral, Qoricancha (Sun Temple), and the four nearby ruins, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, and Sacsayhuaman Fortress. 
    • Return to the hotel.

  • Day 4- Visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas expand_more
    • Have breakfast at the hotel. Full-day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. 
    • Depart by bus to Awanacancha, a place where we will appreciate the beauty of the Peruvian Andes with its South American camels and the majestic, traditional and modern technique (dyeing, spinning, weaving process), including used materials and live weaving by the people of the Peruvian Andes.  
    • Visit the famous Indian market of Pisac, a delightful place where we will bargain for goodies with the local street vendors. Buffet lunch at a local restaurant. 
    • See the majestic fortress of Ollantaytambo. 
    • Return to Cusco and visit Chincheros village. Arrive at the hotel for the night's stay.

  • Day 5- Transfer to Machu Picchu expand_more
    • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. (Full day excursion to Machu Picchu)
    • Transfer to Ollanta train station early morning to board the train to Aguas Calientes. Arrive and take a bus to Machu Picchu.
    • Visit the Machu Picchu citadel for 02 hours and 30 minutes. The guided tour included the well-known Intihuatana (Solar Clock), the Watchtower, the Inka´s Palace, and the Three Windows. 
    • Return to Aguas Calientes by bus and board the train to Ollanta train station. Arrival and transfer to Cusco. Overnight.

  • Day 6- Departure expand_more
    • Have breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport to board the regular flight to Lima. 
    • Arrive at Lima and connect with the international flight. Check Out: approximately 10:00 hours.

What to bring
  • A good pair of hiking boots or walking shoes.
  • A warm jacket. Evenings and mornings can be very cold between June – September (A waterproof and ideally windproof jacket is ideal). Another good option is a warm fleece which you can wear under a lightweight waterproof, windproof jacket.
  • Good quality sunscreen and a sunhat. Due to the altitude and Peru’s location close to the Equator, frequent sunscreen is advised to avoid any nasty sunburn.
  • Bring clothes that you can layer. 
  • Small first aid kit for basic cuts and bruises and tummy upsets.
  • A rainproof covering for your daypack or backpack is a good option, particularly if you are travelling during the rainy season, to avoid wet clothes and personal items.
