- Pick up by the Quito tour guide at 09h30 from the hotel to the viewpoint of Cruz Loma (4.100 m.a.s.l.) on the volcano Pichincha.
- Take a cable car ride that takes from 15 to 20 minutes per way, depending on the atmospheric conditions.
- Start at a height of 3.045 meters above sea level, until 4.100 meters at the top (around 12.500 feet).
- Enjoy a beautiful view of Quito, and if the weather helps, see the amazing snowcapped volcanoes of Cotopaxi (5.898), Antisana (5.753), and Cayambe (5.790).
- In the afternoon, go to the historical center of Quito, the first world cultural heritage site (UNESCO 1978).
- Before starting the walk, stop for a drink or a small lunch.
- Pass through Independence Square, the scene of many dramatic battles of revolution in the history of the Republic of Ecuador.
- Visit the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Church of the Society of Jesus of Quito, the summit of the Latin America Baroque, the charming neighbourhood of La Ronda and the Church and Convent of San Francisco, built in 1535.
