You get to taste 3 selected Marzipan sweets. Marzipan is a chocolate-covered almond paste made from almonds, sugar, rose water and spices. It was introduced to Lübeck by the Venetians. Lübeck Marzipan merchants started marketing this delicacy in the 19th Century. Today, Lübeck Marzipan is a hand-finished high-quality product produced by several factories in Lübeck. Start at Cafe Maret in the central market square next to the town hall. End at Holstentor gate.

- There are 5 big Marzipan factories in Lübeck and their Marzipan is made from Mediterranean almonds, icing sugar and spices. On this tour, you will explore Marzipan historical places in Lübeck and see where the shops of the different factories are located.
- You will be shown the Marzipan museum and the original Cafe where the Lübeck Marzipan recipe was first created.
