Begin the tour after pick-up from the hotel by the driver and meet your Theresienstadt tour guide.
Head out of the city and see the site where Reinhard Heydrich was assassinated by members of the Czech resistance.
Drive for an hour to Terezín and spend about 2 hours. Terezín was completely different, both psychologically and physically, from any of the hundreds of other camps. As a "model camp", it functioned differently than normal concentration camps.
Learn what happened to so many innocent people through actual artefacts, children's drawings, poetry, and other rare items which survived their owners to speak so eloquently for them.
Visit the Gestapo prison, the Terezín Museum, the crematorium, the hidden synagogue, which was only recently uncovered, and the newly-opened exhibition at the Magdeburg Barracks.
Head back to Prague, stopping on the way to see the Lidice memorial. Lidice was a former Czech town which was destroyed by the Nazis in retaliation for the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich by Czech partisans in Prague. Heydrich chaired the January 1942 Wannsee Conference, which formalized plans for the Final Solution to the Jewish Question.
