Go trekking along the trail of Antonia’s Peak, the highest peak in Santiago (1394m). Walk through the wilderness, to reach the top where you will be surrounded by the clouds. This is a beautiful walk, and the peak time for it is between mid-August and early December, late October is probably the greenest and most picturesque. Meet local people along the trail and engage with them.

Start the 5-6 Hour trek ,the walks are mainly downhill. then, uphill to reach the top. You will be in one of the highest points on the island with excellent views. You can see the terracing of the agricultural areas, and the isolated villas below and also the island of Fogo and Maio. You may even be above the cloud cover, depending on the day.
