  • Day 1: Medellin to Urrao expand_more
    • Arrive in the city of Medellin. We recommend you take a bus at the Rionegro's International Airport to the North bus terminal in Medellin. You will be escorted by a bilingual tour guide.

    • Reach Urrao and travel to the hotel.

    • Visit the market and get enough food for the camping night.

    Overnight stay in a camp in Urrao. 

  • Day 2: Climbing in Paramo del Sol expand_more

    • Wake up early in the morning and depart from your hotel in Urrao town.  

    • Travel to the starting point at Páramo del Sol on a local bus called "Chiva". 

    • Start the hike in Páramo del Sol at 7 am. The total hike time is approximately 8 hours.

    • Half for breakfast and lunch during the hike.  

    • Stop for sightseeing at various points of the hike. 
    • Arrive at the highest camping point in Páramo and watch the beautiful sunset and the mountainous landscape. 
    • Set up tents and spend the night there.
  • Day 3: Hiking down to the base camp expand_more

    • Wake up early in the morning and start climbing down to the lagoon. The total hiking time is 6 hours.

    • Halt for having lunch.

    • Reach the base camp and spend the night in tents. 

  • Day 4: Return to Urrao and depart for Medellin expand_more

    • Wake up early to see the sunrise and have breakfast at the campsite.

    • Hike back to Urrao. 

    • Halt for lunch during the tour.

    • Drive back to Urrao. 

    • Take a bus ride to Medellin and depart for your destination.
