Qingchengshan is believed to be one of the origins of Chinese Taoism. It is a mountain home to several mysterious Taoist temples where you can find real Taoist monks sweeping the yards or sipping tea.

Start by a ride (public or private transfer) of 1.5 hours to get to the base of Qingchengshan from your hotel in Chengdu.
Buy tickets and start your walking tour.
Visit the temples along the way. Sit down to enjoy the peace and quiet moment with the monks in the temple.
After around 3-4 hours of walking, reach the top with a big pagoda.
Walk down the mountain using the cable car.
Drive back to Chengdu.

- If you are a bigger group than 4 people, the price is going to be lower.
This place is a 4-season park.
Try to avoid the peak season of travelling in China, which is the first week of May and October.
We can skip the touristy temples at the base when there are lots of visitors.
The walking at the beginning may not be comfortable as it is on lots of steps. However, when you get used to them, it is not so hard.
