Meet your tour guide at your hotel in Shanghai at 9:00 AM and make your way to Zhujiajio Water Town by metro.
Explore Zhujiajio, a historical water town, through its many canals and narrow streets. The entrance is free, but you have to buy tickets for spots you may like to visit.
After lunch, travel back to Shanghai at 1:30 PM.
In the afternoon, visit the Jade Buddha Temple (fees: 30 yuan per person). You will get to see Buddhist monks living an austere monastic life. Marvel at the beautiful Buddha statues.
Explore the Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum. During World War II, many Jewish refugees came to Shanghai for shelter and stayed in the Hongkou district of Shanghai in the old Synagogue of Ohel Moshe. This museum will help you understand their history.
