  • Day 1 - Arrive at Paro - Thimphu expand_more
    • Once you arrive at the Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by our English-speaking guide and drive to Thimphu, the capital city. It is an hour's drive.

    • On the way, visit Tamchogang, where the old Iron Chain bridge was built. After reaching Thimphu, check in to the hotel. After lunch, visit the National Memorial Chorten, where we see elderly people pray and circumambulate the stupa.

    • Later, visit Tashichho Dzong (Fortress), known as the “fortress of the glorious religion,”. It houses the main secretariat building and the central monk body.

    Overnight in Thimphu

  • Day 2 - Thimphu - Punakha expand_more
    • Head to Kuensel Phodrang, one of the iconic landscapes of Thimphu. Since it houses the famous Great Buddha Dordenma, it is also known as Buddha Point.

    • The next stop will be Motithang Takin Preserve, home to the national animal of Bhutan, the Takin. Explore the Folk Heritage Museum here, exhibiting artifacts, equipment, objects, and tools in rural households.

    • Visit the Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory to see how traditional Bhutanese paper is handmade from the bark of the daphne bush. 

    • Make your way to Norzin Lam - the shopping hub of Bhutan where you can find a wide variety of local crafts.

    • Drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass, the best-known mountain pass in Bhutan, to enjoy an incredible view of the snow-capped Himalayas and have a look at the 108 memorial Druk Wangyal Chortens as well.
    • Visit the Chimi Lhakhang temple, built-in 1499 by the 14th Drukpa hierarch, Ngawang Choegyel. It is believed that Drukpa Kuenly, also known as the 'Divine Madman' and considered as the symbol of fertility, blessed the site and built a chorten there.

  • Day 3 - Punakha - Paro expand_more
    • Head towards the most scenic place of Punakha, Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten, which is a classic illustration of the traditions and architecture of this Asian country.

    • Go to Punakha Dzong located between Pho Chhu (male) and Mo Chhu (female) river in the Punakha–valley, also known as the "Palace of Great Happiness". 

    • Drive to Paro and take a leisurely walk down the city streets.

  • Day 4 - Paro expand_more
    • Visit the famous monastery of Paro-Taktsang Monastery. It is said that Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) flew here from Tibet on the back of a tigress. Hence, this place was sanctified to subdue the tiger demon.

    • Stop at Paro National Museum and Paro Rinpung Dzong - 'Fortress on a Heap of Jewels', to witness the cultural history of Bhutanese.

    • Enjoy the evening at the farmhouse by tasting local cuisine and dipping into traditional hot stone baths as well.

  • Day 5- Paro Departure expand_more
    • Drive to the Airport for your departure.
