Description

Do you want to feel like a real local and enjoy a day off on one of the best beaches of Bahia? Come with us and drive along the most beautiful beaches of Bahia, on the Coconut Coast. We'll have splendid views on the dunes, lagoons, and the ocean itself, sovereign green and blue. Our final destination is Praia do Forte, a former fisherman village and, now, the most important touristic destination of the region.

Here you can visit the TAMAR Project that protects the five species of sea turtles that reproduce here along the coast, and see these huge and ancient reptiles just in front of you. Another possibility is to visit the old and mysterious Fort of Garcia D'Ávila, build on top of a hill with a fantastic panoramic view. You can try some delicious local dishes in one of the many cozy restaurants. Finally, enjoy the gorgeous tropical sunny beach where you can get into the real Bahian mood having a caipirinha, eat grilled cheese, have a swim and a tan and relax as a real Brazilian.

    • You     will be picked up at your hotel in the center of Salvador.     

    • Depending     upon your     localization,     we'll drive through the city all along the Atlantic coastline until     the entrance of the airport. 

    • Passing     the airport, we take the main road to leave the city in the     direction of the North, called the Coconut Road

    • First     we drive through the town of Lauro de Freitas.

    • We     follow this very     comfortable toll road heading     along the     Coconut Coast    

    • We’ll     pass a succession of beautiful beaches and small villages before     arriving at our destination, the village of Praia do Forte at 55 km     of distance.    

    • The     visit of the village is done by feet and if you are want to visit     the Fort of Garcia D'Ávila, the car will bring you there after a     short drive.     

    • At     the end of the afternoon, at about 3:30 pm, we take the same road     back to Salvador

    • Once     back     in the city,     we take the most important avenue of the city, called Avenida     Paralela, to get back to the center and drop you of at your hotel.
