- Ride a trolley car to familiarize yourself with Santa Teresa and enjoy the panoramic excursion.
Go through the Arcos da Lapa (Lapa Aqueduct), and appreciate the whole Lapa, as well as the Santa Teresa Convent. The old buildings, the Curvelo station, bars, stores, beautiful landscapes, restaurants, shops, craftsmanship, simple people, tourists, the interesting architecture, at each curve.
Visit the Chácara do Cebu Museum (no translation) and the Ruins Park - gorgeous landscape. Get off the trolley and walk 300 m approximately to visit these places. Chácara do Céu is a tiny museum and placed near Ruins Park, housing a wonderful collection of modern art paintings.
Go to the Carioca Aqueduct (Arcos da Lapa), inaugurated in 1744, supplied water for the city until 1896 when it was transformed into trolley cars run. The trolleys running now are a replica. The aqueduct reminds the Free Waters Aqueduct built in Lisbon by D. João V.
